Good day,

I am a young South African entrepreneur and would like to find out if there would be anyone to mentor me in particular to Google Ads.

Unfortunately, Google Ads is not a skill that can be learnt over night and takes some trial and error. I am trying to handle as many accounts as possible, however with the aid of a more experienced mentor I'm hoping to try and learn much faster in addition to what I'm doing.

I am also willing to help you out on your own work/ Accounts If possible.

Pretty easy guides.

Google provides free training via skillshop. Suggest you start there.

Skills hops are good as mentioned above to start with. But if you want to take it a step further you will have to read and research a lot on your own. Skill shops don't teach you about the landing pages quality scores, or keyword research, tactics for when your keywords are out of budget on how to work around them.

Best is to start a course on udemy, they usually offer discounts but they teach you pretty easily.

I think having a mentor on google ads would be great however, best is to learn on your own. It's not easy at first but ones you get the grips of things its very easy.

small advice, depending on what ad you run, keywords will be the part where you spend most of your time, also have a look at how a campaigne is structured and the definitions of bidding strategies.

Once you have this in place, the next thing will be deep data analysis. Ones you are done with a google ads course, jump on a google analytics course, both go hand to hand.

I would recommend doing 8hour+ courses and udemy do offer them, some courses are out of date but most cover the most important strategies to use.

It is not easy but if you are dedicated, you shouldn't have any problems.

Happy to help when you have questions.

What EKD said above is spot on. If I had to add one last thing, Google Ads, Google Analytics and SEO go hand on hand. Being able to set up a campaign with the goals you have in mind does not guarantee success. Your landing pages need to be spot on with your ads. That is where SEO comes in, and last like EKD said Analytics both on GA4 and Google Ads Analytics you need learn what to look for and optimise based on your goals and what the Data tell you. Lastly Keywords, if a keyword is to expensive you will have to resort to long tail keywords and those require a lot of research for better targeting. Then you have so many other parameters to take into consideration, what is it product ? or service ? Retail? B2B? Each will require different approaches from bidding, ad optimisation, creatives, content and so on. Happy to help as well.

Thank you for your advice. I can tell that you've had much time working on this. The crap part about GA is that there's no practice or case studies to work on as a beginner. Which makes it tough to get better at it. For now that's my biggest problem. I have to practice something and get my hands messy to learn.
