Hello Happy friday everyone.
I get this line across smack-bang in the middle of my screen.. it goes away sometimes... I thought it was the HDMI cable because sometimes when i wiggle it, it will disappear.
But now i have a brand new cable and i still have it.. it still disappears every so often when the screen leans a bit forward or backward.. the cable is snug in the gpu.. i hope the monitor is not on its way out.

Monitor: ASUS MX279H
GPU: ASUS GTX 1660Ti

That my good sir... Is a line.....

Thank you and have a good day.

But sounds like maybe the internal ribbon cable is a bit wonky. I'm guessing that because you say it disappears when tilting jiggling etc

hmmm... a line you say.... 🤔

It sounds like you could be right about the ribbon cable - the monitor does not get moved around alot.. it's pretty much on the desk and that's where it stays. I'll have to look into that.. (y)(y)(y)

Any ideas who would be able to or where I could take it to have it checked out and if so, have the ribbon replaced if that is the issue?

So... i saw some vids on vertical lines and they've traced it down to the driver ribbon connector going to the panel.. Over time it can become dislodged or just slightly loose.. I've checked my monitor and if i put a little bit of pressure on the point where the line is, on the bezel, it disappears... quick fix with some sellotape they reckon.. I hope i can fix this, without breaking my monitor... because it is very very annoying.
