What Inverter setups you running?

Anywhere one can get these equipments in CPT? Off-grid setup with panels, preferably. Looks like Deye/Sunsynk & Revov/Hubble (1c) bats are the common where I am, most websites are all up in JHB though. Gatvol of Eskom with their Stage-6 announcement

Hi Carbies

Please help a complete solar noob. I dearly need some advice on a solar solution. Here is some background.

1. There are three households that need to be supplied / powered by the solution.
2. Main house and two small cottages with old people.
3. Average usage currently is around 41 - 45 kwh per day
4. There are 2 geysers and each house / habitat has its own gas stove and electric oven.
5. Eskom prepaid is installed currently.

The solution I am looking at adding is:
1 x 16Kva Sunsynk Inverter
3 x 5kwh Greenrich Lith Batteries
14 x 455W JA Panels

I am not looking at completely going off the grid, but would be great to perhaps get 80% - 90% there.. All plugs, geysers and swimming pool will be added as an essential.

Do you think that enough power will be generated to be able to sustain 3 households where people unaware of each others schedules might have two washing machines or airfryers or microwaves running at the same time).

Thanks!
Jacks

Setup looks good I'd say you gonna need at least 20 panels to get 41kwh a day, and you'd have to manage your power usage especially with 2 geysers and a pump will eat through that battery if solar isn't providing enough

Out of curiosity, please could you share your daily/monthly usage as I am looking at a similar setup and I am trying to gauge how many panels I can fit vs what I need etc. Thanks! :)

We just purchased the house with the system installed. Currently renovating so can’t actually see what’s it’s capable of doing. So far I’ve run the pool pump completely off solar even on cloudy days. Will let you know once we move in officially

That price is a special they're running? Seems pricey.

The special price is a bit less, about 10% less. I'm not so familiar on how the price fairs in the market but it was within my budget. Was thinking of adding an extra panel or two upon installation and then maybe add a second battery later this year?

1 X 5KW SunSynk Hybrid
1 X 5kw Nerada - replacing this as soon as i am up to 18 panels
4 x 455w Canadian

That price is still high, have a look what these components cost separate

You're correct, pricing components here is painting the picture that I am spending around 40k for materials, installation components, registration COC & installation. Fair or rip-off?

40k is high , average single phase installations are around 20k
Dang, thanks for the heads up. Luckily the installers haven't contacted with any further proceedings of the order as yet. Getting a 2nd quote hopefully by this afternoon at Solar Joy
