Hi guys

I am in need of a bit of help. In the rain about a month ago, my monitor got wet :/ no huge problem - thanks to the wonders of insurance I have a new one. But now I have this old 23" monitor that works +-60%
So my question is, can it be fixed? I have attached 2 photos of the image that is displayed. (Warning, it may hurt the eyes of PC enthusiasts!)

Thanks for any help.

P.S. sorry about the gigantic images.

IMO that isn't water, looks like the screen has been sit'ted on or something, hardly pressed in some way.Jip u can fix it buy new LCD panel,it gonna cost u as much as a new LCD.

you will a need panel, aka buy a new monitor, doubt you can fix it

Thanks hereticangel, I presumed that that would be the case buuuuuut, I was wondering if there is any way of salvaging it?

@ PieterShaun, that is what I was thinking.
The monitor got wet so I took it to a local PC shop and asked them to check it for damage and it came back like this. When I sent it in the picture was perfect.

Just be glad you have a new one and move on :) I bet the dudes who looked at it, bust it and then quoted you for a new one from your insurance company...= more dosh for them... conspiracies are everywhere!! :D

Mother****er! You were supposed to buy from me :( :( :(

*sad face*

I'll take the monitor..

WHAT shop did you go to BTW? To get the monitor checked out I mean.. I hope it wasn't PE Technologies, coz I'll slap you!
