Hi Guys

I was thinking of getting one of those small ups device specifically for router (small powerank device).
The problem i've encountered is that the CPE (Raycon via Vumatel) doesnt seem to have a DC connector on it :(
It has a cord coming out from inside the CPE directly to a two pin plug.

How would i power the cpe during loadshedding using something like this:

CAUTION: I bought an identical one to that (just had a different name), just beware that the cable that comes with it is VERY short. If your router and ONT is not close to each other then you will have a problem. The cable is probably about 15cm long in total. It comes out of the DC output of the UPS and then half way down the cable it splits in two, one for router and one for ONT. I'll take a picture tonight and upload for you.

thanks guys, i have a warranty sticker over the screw - i've had it installed for more than two years now so i guess any warranty should be over by now.

I'll give it a go after i knock off from work.

i'm just worried if i open it and dont find the DC input, then i gues i just wont be able to use the mini ups

thanks for the headsup - my router should have enough slack to position it almost ontop of the cpe so hopefully i wont need to buy a new longer cable

Its there, its odd they'd have removed the small extender, but stranger things have happened, worst case you request a replacement for the CPE,the current model has the barrel normally placed

will they replace if the warranty sticker is removed though ?
i'll try my luck either way :D

They'd probably charge, since the current CPE is fine obviously :ROFLMAO:

This is an old thread I know but I've just bought one of those UPS's for Routers, looks the same as the one in the photo. It seems to have enough oomph to carry a network switch or an access point but when I plug it into the Raycore it can't seem to power it up. Anyone had the same experience. The power supply to the Raycore is only 12V at 1A so I can't fathom why this would be

Hi,

I have rhe same problem, but when I put in the 9v or 5v there power going to the ONT.

Are you saying that it works from the 5 or 9V supply as opposed to the 12V?
