Man. If this is here come month end (if it happens), I'll be very interested. I'll pick up if I can make it to Vanderbijl someday again. Wife's going to kill me. :p

Going nowhere in a hurry.. Let me know when you want to come have a look ;)

Awesome. I'm busy building a tiny collection of my own regarding old or big ammo stuff like this. I love it. I just don't know how many more door stoppers we can use in the house, there are only so many doors... :D

These are all sandf rounds. My farther worked at the old Krygkor, he tested amour for for a living :)

Can you please PM me your email address. Interested in a few.

Henry dude can you hold that small one with the blue tip and two of the shells in the 105mm tubes for me? I'm most interested in those. I'll do an EFT to secure the hold, if you'll accept?

Collected and happy. Thanks dude!

2x105mm sold plus 30mm blue tip. 6 shells on hold for Jagga pending payment. Still lots more, 90mm, 75mm, 105mm(not brass)

You know you also have a shell from a 106mm recoil-less gun there too? It is the one with the holes in. It is an anti tank gun(not canon) and were mostly mounted on Jeeps for easy deployment. Could be used on the Jeep or on the ground. It had a 12.7mm gun mounted on the barrel of the 106 to check your aim with. It used phosphorous rounds, so when you hit your target, you will see a white plume. That is when you let go with the 106mm. The technology in the rounds itself was also quite awesome. Could penetrate like 900mm of armor. It would cut through armor at a speed of 9000m/s. Sorry, I was an instructor on those in the army.:D

I took these back in my army days. As for the dust and crap when you fire this thing, the shell with the holes explains it. 60% of the gases gets discharged out the back and 40% to propel the shell. The shell makes up another 20%, which gives it a perfect 50/50 balance, allowing you to shoot it off a Jeep. You have seen how a 105mm on a tank recoils when fired. This one does not. It is recoil-less. You can put a glass of water on the barrel and fire the 106mm and not spill a drop.

106mm fired daytime.

Our moving target practice machine(Yes, tanks don't stand still when you shoot at them) How it operated and how no one got killed is a story for another time.

Sorry for the hijack, and I hope I did not break any rules here? Any of this stuff left? I know someone that will be interested.

Lord Farquart Thank you for the information, very insightful and I think this will answer Toxxyc338 about this unusual shell's whereabouts ;) I will put what is left together in a photo and description. Sold 6 shells to Jagga today(Please remember iTrader)

Yeah it helps a lot, I was racking my brain trying to figure out why they would want the pressure to go to waste by drilling holes in the case. Makes sense now! BTW, I though about it and think those holed shells would make nice huge lamps... :p

I have ashtrays made from them. Take the bottom of a second one and weld it on top of a complete one.

The shell in the picture has not been fired yet. It still has the brownish varnish on it.

Must have been disassembled then. It's empty, still has a clothy insert, I assume to keep the charge in place.

Update:

I have about 10x 90mm left with their tubes
2x 105mm
2x non brass shells

I still want one of those recoilless gun shells. If you ever come to Sandton area, hit me up, I'll take it, seriously. I left my previous job that allowed me to travel, so I won't be able to easily pick it up anymore... :(

Laat weet my as jy verbykom, of plan maak, ek vat een! :D

PS: I'd like 2 of those 90mm's in the plastic pods as well. Those pods are brilliant...

Hey dude, what do you have left? I might be interested in a shell with its tube and a recoiless rifle shell.

P.S Do you ever come across anything else like Machine Gun belts or rocket casings or whatever?

Hi, the recoiless one is taken unfortunately along with two plastic tubes. As far as the large shells in the tubes go, I had to destroy the tubes to get the shells out, they were stuck inside. It was impossible to take them out by hand. Regarding the other items in your post, I do not have any of the those items.

So I can offer you 90mm shells(see picture above), 105mm(grey ones), 75mm(tall thin) and 77mm

Would it be possible to take a photo of the bases of one of the 105s, 90 and 75s, if its no trouble for you? And what would shipping on something like this cost?
