I have Google home devices in all the rooms in my house. I am wanting to upgrade my network to Unify.

I saw on the Ubiquiti forums that the Google Home/Nest devices don't play nice with Unify. Is this still true today?

I don't want to spend a lot of cash upgrading to Unify and then not being able to use my Home devices.

Input would be much appreciated.

I have a few Google Home Mini's in my house on the Ubiquiti AmpliFi system and have no issues. I have 3 AmpliFi HD router/AP's connected to an 8 port Unifi switch and the system just works.

I have also ordered some of the TP-Link Kasa smart plugs to integrate for power monitoring.

I guess when configuring the wifi network you would need to check compatibility with 2.4 and 5ghz channels as well as channel width.

what kind of issues did they used to have? in the end it's just a network and you can change settings to suit your behaviour. I've seen YouTube channels provide some protips on how to create a separate network for your IOT stuff and they were using unify gear. So you shouldn't have any issues

I only had this issue when I was using Mikrotik to drive my networking and the unifi AP just running solo. I have since gone full Unifi and can't say that there are any issues - if anything, it's been pretty smooth all over.
