LOL, no brackish tank, which one are you assuming is brackish? The scat is in with normal marine fish.

The small marine tank are the bigger one are linked by one sump, the smaller tank holds my smaller fish that my eels in the bigger tank would eat.
Ah, I see, I was assuming the more brownish tank was tropical

I'm also into tropical fish. Sold my tanks. Like a year ago. Currently planning a 2.5m planted aquarium. A nice long low tank with house plants above.

Just got drawings done so, still a long way from beginning.

Have a 600L pond and a 2 foot tank.

Right now the pond has a mix of around 60 Guppy, Red Sword tails, Red wagtail Plats and a mix breed between the Guppy/Wagtails that brought forth several champagne colored Wagtails. My guppy are all leopard tails, so I got 5 more coloured ones yesterday to breed more colours and variants, blue, red, yellow, black and a black lire tail.

Tank as from this past Sunday has 53 fry from the pond, they'll go back to the pond in about a month or so when they reach a decent size.

My main problem with the pond is Algae. The property I live on flock the fuck out of the drinking water, so any fish die within the hour of being introduced into the water. As such I mainly use river water which the fish loves, but grows hair algae within days. Don't use lights at all, pond only receives natural light.

The plan is to enlarge the pond in the next few weeks to around 3000 liter, change the filtration to a mini pool pump/filter that's easily changable and cover the pond with a small thatch roof to block out direct sunlight. That should help greatly with the algae battle.

Eendag as ek groot is.

Would love to do a long self sustained tank, but our water issues makes this impossible.

My 60l Freshwater tank,

have tried about 3x times to add Neon Tetras to it ... but they go missing,
wonder who the culprit is .. Clown Loach or Raphael catfish :)

Probably the Raphael... they're cool, I have one that's still trucking at 16 years old, been keeping fish for around 28 years now.

This thread has inspired me to start my little aquarium up again, took it out the garage and washed it yesterday afternoon.

I'll upload pics soon.

Damn. I was hoping to see a custom water cooler setup with some neons in the reservoir 😂

lol, the fish will look like this after 5 minutes with an intel CPU

I want pictures.

I

It is, the wood is still full of tannins, so the water is always brown, but the lights help when viewing.

I like the bathwater look. LOL
I thought so, yea I would boil the shit out of driftwood, I would see brownish water and immediately start stressing about something being wrong lol

I boiled once for 48 hours straight, soak them in salt water for weeks

These pieces of s-logs refuse to just be logs, they identify as tea

Have two 100L tanks (have had much larger tanks back in the day, current place is small and I will go back to bigger tanks again one day).

Just an overview shot of the vertical hexagon tank and then a snap of my electric blue acara in the other tank.

Random Q but no one on carb that sells and ships plants in their own capacity?

They getting helluva expensive my side and wanting to get things like anubias petite and broad leaf etc to cultivate for future tanks 😃

Seen this recently, maybe check with this person.

Where mines currently at after about 2 months of settling in and stabalising. Browning and molting of the pants is coming to an end as the new growth is quickly coming through and taking over.

The stem plants are growing like weeds meaning I'm trimming every other week now and replanting them 🤩

My current setup is a work in progress, with the Frontosa still growing sections still growing. I'm also growing out some stunning black & gold Calvus cichlids in a separate aquarium, which I will add them to this setup at a later stage when big enough. Overall it is a 8ft 1000l setup, still got loads to do before this is final.

Please let me know when you selling some frontosa babies.

Can you post pics of your other tank too please :)

aah man, can send what is left of it lol, dismantled it Saturday morning when I moved the other fish over to the bigger tank.

This will be the first for me breeding with Lake Tanganyikan Cichlids, I'm hoping they will spawn for me within the next year or 2. If they do and I get a successful batch of fry you will be one of my first PM's on these. 😁

Only used to breed a bunch of other species years back before this.

A few pics when I just got the other little ones:

1st two pics are the Black Calvus Fry, last 2 is pics of the golden ones. If they survive the transfer in the long run to the big tank they will grow up to be beauts.

Will see if I can snap a few recent pics of them as well then I will post an update, just did an 80% water change over the weekend as well.
