Get one, very rewarding and stressful at the same time, mainly because of load shedding, we are sitting without electricity since 8pm last night.@The_ONE Dude thats a really nice aquarium, I've always wanted to own a salt water [ If its called that ] tank.
I too, used to own a nice tropical tank. I had a breeding pair of angels that dropped eggs like Malema drops racial controversies.
Then I had kids. Now I no longer own an aquarium. I'll definitely get one again in the future. A marine tank has always been my dream, but I know of all the issues of keeping it perfectly stable, so not now.
Fish only tank is actually a lot easier than a full reef tank, very similar to how would keep tropical fresh water fish. When you start keeping coral it gets hectic.I too, used to own a nice tropical tank. I had a breeding pair of angels that dropped eggs like Malema drops racial controversies.

Very nice, love the plants. You good at scaping. Looks very nice budMy current tank as of month or 2 ago. Have since added in a few more neons and an albino honey gourami to join the lonely one thats been in there for awhile.
I might or might not have provided the fish in my father's aquarium with enough food to do themselves in as a kid.I too, used to own a nice tropical tank. I had a breeding pair of angels that dropped eggs like Malema drops racial controversies.

You don't need a TV man, put the tank there. LOLThanks man! Allot of watching MD fishtanks over the years and trial and error between going the cheap and nasty root on old tanks up to the point where I now have a proper nutrient base layer and liquid co2 dosing for the plants.
A marine tank is definitely on the cards down the line when I have the space for a decent 3-4ft 😅
Nice, what kind of dogs are those? Not the best pics, but these are mine.

He has made a business out of it.Thats well past just a hobby! That man lives for his tank and it shows 🤩
I dig that first marine tank, your brackish tank looks like you have been spoiling them with bloodworm I'm assuming? Not the best pics, but these are mine.
Ahhh marine tank and kids dont mix...speak from personal experience here...had a nice 1mx1m cube marine tank with a mix of soft and hard corals and some fishies....kiddo decided she wanted to feed the fish and clean the tank one day while i was at work and came home to find the entire buk of foon in the tank and all the supplement bottles emptied into the tank....suffice to say nothing survived....I too, used to own a nice tropical tank. In beer batter.I like fishies
I had a mate in kempton park who converted his garage into a marine tank. Literally had a catwalk over top and would need a scuba suit to clean it basically, was wild. Haven't seen him in years but I'm assuming there is just no way that is still feasible with loadsheddingThis is one tank that inspires me, hopefully will get there when I sort out some solar
This tank is in Gauteng BTW

I must say, I've been lucky with my kids, they only went to the tank when I was aroundAhhh marine tank and kids dont mix...speak from personal experience here...had a nice 1mx1m cube marine tank with a mix of soft and hard corals and some fishies....kiddo decided she wanted to feed the fish and clean the tank one day while i was at work and came home to find the entire buk of foon in the tank and all the supplement bottles emptied into the tank....suffice to say nothing survived....
Tried again a couple of years later but when load shedding killed everything off i left the tank and everything to my brother...will post a pic of his current setup later when i go...
LOL, no brackish tank, which one are you assuming is brackish? The scat is in with normal marine fish.I dig that first marine tank, your brackish tank looks like you have been spoiling them with bloodworm I'm assuming?
