The Position
We are looking for a senior Unity developer to take responsibility for the architecture,
conceptual design, development, test strategy and leadership of the Unity
technology stack for the product .
You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full hardware and
software development life cycles, from conception to deployment.
As a senior Unity developer you should be well versed in game design and
development and have a deep experience base in development using Unity game
engine and have a preference for leading and empowering others while being very
involved in day to day software development.
This role is a fast developing one in a fast moving startup so you will have the
opportunity and responsibility to contribute and lead the development of games
which are already enjoyed by thousands of people every day across 5 continents.
Job Objectives

o New game and feature development
o Master existing codebase
o Profiling and optimising Unity environment within hardware
constraints
● Concept development
o New game design and conceptualisation
o Rapid prototyping within existing software and hardware environment
● Internal process design and implementation
o Risk management
o Quality control and test process development

● Technical leadership
o Architectural ownership
o Forming part of senior development leadership team (directing the
product)

Technical Experience
We are looking for candidates that have experience in the following:
● Unity or similar game engines
● Game design and development
● Mobile or console development
● Strong C# background
Requirements
● Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Relevant technical qualification.
● Hons. or higher is preferable. Good academic
performance
● 2-4 years team leadership experience
Non-Technical Skills
● Confident communication
● Able to work well in a team as well as individually
● Attention to detail, and able to think creatively outside the box
● Able to accurately plan and prioritise work
● Love for technology and solving new problems with limited support
● Good analytical and problem-solving skills
● Good verbal and written communication skills
