Hey guys,

I have never traded a phone in before on any trade up deals, I'm just wondering if I buy This samsung from takealot , would I be able to claim 10k back for it when I trade my iPhone in after i've bought it?

Would appreciate if anyone has info on this or has any cheaper way to get a Samsung I might be missing. Thanks

Hey, rather buy it from the online Samsung Store. They have a coupon "S24LAUNCH" you enter when checking out to remove R4000 off the price and they give a free cover. Then you can be sure you can do the trade in, I was told by some stores that Takealot sometimes grey imports

Try contact your nearest Cellucity, I did the trade in with them from S10 to S22. They had the best price or close to it and their service was excellent. I took my current phone with me when I went in, they assessed it and immediately gave me the discount on the new phone. Probably took 25 minutes.

Yup, if you prefer having the cash. You can actually do what @goldfritter said by the Samsung experience stores as well. I prefer them to Cellucity since the phone is not Vodacom branded then

Also, use Samsung Pay at the checkout on the Samsung online store. You get additional 5% off for the phone.
Used to be 10% during the pre-order period.

Cellucity is R2000 more than Samsung online for the base S24 - But they give a charger as well.

I Phoned the samsung store by me and they say they cannot do the discount on the phone that the online store is offering so it will be R20 999.

They are also giving x3 Samsung member points. If you can, join Samsung rewards on the members app before purchase. 541 points is technically R541 on the store. Haven't gotten my points yet, they say they will put points 2 weeks after the purchase when return period expires but wasnt part of Samsung rewards member so dont know what will happen. 🙈

Yup. R1000 members voucher is after you purchased the phone. They require a tax invoice with the imei to verify you actually purchased the phone.

Yup. R1000 members voucher is after you purchased the phone. They require a tax invoice with the imei to verify you actually purchased the phone.

I tried to claim my R1000 voucher after I bought my new phone. There is a trick to it.
In order to claim the voucher you had to fill in a form that was only valid till end of jan 2024(they don't tell you this until you want to claim) ask me how I know...lol

I got my phone first week of February.


So if you didn't fill in the form in January then you can't claim, I tried and it didn't work, I even called them, then they said if you didn't fill in the form before end January then you can't claim the R1000 voucher.

Went online last night and added the s24 plus to my cart, used the promo code for the R4000 discount then clicked samsung wallet / pay and it was R17999. Tried to complete the transaction this morning but the Samsung wallet / pay does not apply the discount any longer for some reason. Price stays at R19,999
