Extended description:
When this fridge was put into storage in our garage is the last time it ran. Fridge got cold. Freezer froze. All was well. Despite being broken. So for legal liability reasons, let's just go ahead and say that 'a friend' discovered that the fridge and freezer components operate fine as long as earth is disconnected. Once earth is connected, it causes a trip. The theory is that it's just the thermostat, but I did not have the luxury of waiting for parts and repairers to do their thing, so had to procure a new fridge and run this one with the earth (which my 'friend') disconnected while waiting for delivery of the new one. To my knowledge, it is still in this exact condition - fully intact and tripping earth. I did take some time to clean it as best I could, but it would need some proper detailing to get some of the yuck thats formed between drawer panels as well as some residual adhesives from stickers etc. And obviously repair it. Don't be like my 'friend', unless you absolutely must be, in which case I just don't want to know about it.
