Looking at sharing the duplex townhouse I'm staying in with someone. All info below.
Item Wanted: Trustworthy, reliable and neat roommate to share townhouse with.
Age Group: 23 - 35. Preferably someone working in the tech industry. Must be permanently employed.
Location: Ferndale, Randburg.
Amount: R7000 per month excl electricity. Electricity will be split 50/50. Reason below.
Occupation Date: Available Immediately.
Term: Month to month is fine. A Month's notice required when moving out.
The complex is located in Eton Avenue, Ferndale Randburg. It's situated close to the Malibongwe exit, Sandton is a 15 minute drive away and there is a few shopping centres in the area.
The complex is secure and fairly quiet.
The room available is a downstairs bedroom with an on-suite bathroom with a bathtub, toilet and a basin.
The room is airconditioned, has built-in cupboards and is furnished with a wardrobe and a queen-size bed.
Co-tenant is welcome to use the shower in the upstairs bathroom.
Each unit is allocated two parking spaces so one of the parking spaces will be allocated to the co-tenant. Parking spaces are unfortunately not covered.
Due to the room being airconditioned electricity will be split 50/50 per month as I do not use the airconditioning units in the townhouse due to their power usage.
I personally use electricity responsibly.
The following is included in the R7000 contribution per month:
- A portion will be allocated to the rental. The rental here is R9500 per month excluding electricity due to the owner being my boss so the R9500 is a discounted rate.
- A portion will be allocated to groceries. I buy decent groceries and good coffee. Be prepared to braai at least once a week
"Braai broodjies" are my specialty
- Use of the fibre. Vumatel recently went live in the complex. Awaiting an installation date for the fibre. 200mbps down / 200mbps up premium uncapped.
- There is a domestic worker coming in once a week to clean the townhouse and do the laundry. I also do the laundry during the week.
Other perks included:
- Use of my distributor accounts to buy your PC stuff at cost.
- Steam family sharing to my Steam library.
- There is a PS4 Pro, 4K TV and Logitech Z906 setup in the lounge
I plan on making the townhouse very modern. I just recently moved in so most of the kitchen appliances and utensils are newly purchased.
The couches were left here by the owner. Those will be replaced.
PS:
- Smoking not allowed inside. Only on the balcony or the patio.
- I do have a cat so co-tenant should be fine with that. The cat is not going anywhere
- I do not drink booze so there's no booze included in the groceries.
