Recomend me a 2Mb uncapped account

Right, so with these line upgrades happening soon, my 2mb line will be upgraded to 4mb yet I'm still on a 1mb uncapped from Mweb for R199 a month.
I average 80gb to 100gb worth of downloads a month and play the odd game of BF3 / WoT ect online.
My downloads consist of Steam updates / game patches and very-large-emails-about-world-peace-and-rainbow-pooping-unicorns*

Now, Mweb charges R369 for their 2mb Premium uncapped which I think is redonkioulus. The normal 2mb account from them is R249 but they will probably cut my line off after the first 15gb of downloads.

So, tell me what 2mb uncapped accounts you okes are using and the price you're paying please.
Is Telkom worth going for on one of their Do-yadayada packages ?

I really don't feel like paying more than R250 a month for this. If I can't get it at about this price I'll stay on the 1mb line.

Ok, well I'm probably going to get flamed but if you only pulling 100GB maybe go for capped.

I signed up with Cybersmart this month even after many MANY people told me not to.

Took the 20GB capped account with the R99 super size. So R233 in total.

The R99 gives you an extra 50GB peak bandwidth and up to 1TB off peak (12:30am to 7am).

They claim it is unshaped and unthrottled as it is capped.

I am not a gamer but I download about 300GB per month so now I will just schedule my shiz to download after 12:30am.

So far full 10Mbps line speed tested on all protocols that I have used.

Agreed. I'm on the 2meg uncapped for R226 a month. Something gamer bling download king, cant remember. It was on special though.
They not bad at all. Ive been with them for a month and a bit now and no problems. They don't throttle at all but do shape during working hours if needed.

We're on the R369pm mweb 2mb and we get 150-200gb per month without being throttled but I get all of my very-large-emails-about-world-peace-and-rainbow-pooping-unicorns at night...

Openweb for me has become quite annoying basically during working hours it's not Internet can't use team viewer can't open steam origin sometimes doesn't work... Dumb

No! Not afrihost! Don't try them even, since almost everyone on mweb jumped to them, their traffic is shaped!! They have heavy duty policies. Go have a look on mybroadband forums and you will see

I have been on it for over a year now and for the price i never get throttled and get great dll speads.

What is the moral of the story...? One needs to be agile and jump to another provider as soon as you're not happy. Key to this is keeping your line with Telkom and not taking up *any* providers email service. Both these things are designed to lock you in. Use Gmail, keep your line with Telkom (yes, you will pay a bit more) and change ISP as and when you want to!

And to think, Telkom were all cosey and warm with their monopoly a few years ago and now we are ISP hopping because we want our line speed increased /non throttled/ 1tb downloading account NOOOOW!
