I would like to buy the Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless Headset, and the only local stock I have found is from Evetech. It costs about the same to import it from Amazon, but I feel like even with difficulties with Evetech's warranty, a local warranty is better if possible. I have seen some people saying that you can claim Evetech warranties from another place, but not sure where this is and if it's valid on all their products. Any advice would be appreciated (as well as advice about the headset itself if you know anything).

I can find these headies on both incredible connection and Takealot albeit at 1k more than evekek :poop:

And put it this way you 'have' a warranty until they decide you don't due to losing money replacing it. Then you'll get store credit (this is calculated on original price - whatever they deem as depreciation and other kak) after you, yes you the poor dumb doos, pay for shipping there and back if they do replace it. Oh and I forgot to mention the credit has an expiry date added to it.....

So all in all you'll have a great experience with them should you decide to buy from them

You mean ThievesTsek? Let's just say there's a reason they're the only premium reseller to have been banned on Carb (that I know of)

If amazon + shipping and tax is around the same price, go with them.
This.
I bought mine from Evetech mainly due to being lazy and needing new headphones.
But tbh, the risk of warranty issues is about the same with either, so you pretty much can just hope/pray that yours arrives in perfect condition like mine did. :)
Happy hunger games and may the odds be ever in your favor.

You got that wrong. I'd still go with Amazon even if it were more expensive!

Personally I would too, if mt only choices were Amazon or ThievesTsek...

But based on the fact that they are not the only option, I am assuming that OP is looking for the best price / lowest risk.

If price were not an issue he would just grab them from takealot.

Correct, I don't want to pay an extra R1000 just to get them locally. But seems all-in-all the consensus is to avoid Evetech at all costs

Relevance?

We know these fuckers don't even adhere to the law, never mind their own wall of text.

Wow before i came to this site and read this thread,i never knew Evetech were such a bunch of......... well i guess one can complete that sentence using your own word. But now that i know,i will try to avoid them for sure. But i doubt i will ever shop there again after what i read.Luckily i only bought a cheap headset from them.
Thanks guys for putting this up.Im proud to be part of this community 👍

Speaking of evetech.
They recently moved premises.

There are a few on carb that have had good service from evetech.
End of the day its your choice.

I have dealt with Evetech for a few months now and haven't received any issues dus far. I even had a faulty motherboard and they exchanged it without hassle or charge. I still support smaller sellers and companies but I am a sucker for a bargain and those Arctis Pro wireless are definitely a bargain IMO.

At the current price? I recall them being around R5.5k recently which seems like a good price but they're up to R6.3k now

Would just like to say that amazon is fantastic when it comes to returns and replacements. You would have to be an idiot to go with evetech after hearing and reading the horror stories on that place.

I've had better experiences with some products than others. It was quite a mission to RMA my Razer Viper Ultimate but Logitech products have been a pleasure.
