Good evening,
I am looking to purchase my first mechanical keyboard. I've already done extensive research on the various switch types available i.e. red, brown blue, being the main ones.
However, I would like to be able to test them to see which switch type would work best for me. Unfortunately due to Covid, there is probably little to no chance of finding some on display in a shop to try out. I also don't know of any colleagues or friends who own mechanical keyboards for me to test, so that option is out.
My only other option that I can think of is to purchase one and return it if I don't like the switch type. Are retailers picky about keyboard returns or is it an easy process? I would literally just test out the keys and avoid unwrapping all of the plastic / packaging etc. as much as possible unless I'm sure I'd want to keep that particular keyboard.
Would there be extensive fees involved if I were to return a keyboard? Minus the return courier fees of course.
If anyone has any experiences or other recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated!
