Hi Everyone,

I am in the market to buy new pc parts (complete new system), just wondering is it a good time to buy now or should i wait for new tech to release, and if so how long would you wait?

Appreciate the advice people.

Thanks

this is a person to person answer,

if you are just trying to get a decent PC.
Wait for the new ones to come out BUT buy the generation just before the one that came out

the increase in performance is like 5% but the increase in price is like 30%

but if you want the lastest and greatest to just show off and play league of legends on a 180k pc, go for it xD
they release new every year, so you will always be outdated.

Hi there,

What parts are you looking to upgrade specifically? And what’s your budget?

There are supposedly a few refreshed Nvidia GPUs coming early next year but not much else that I’m aware of, so you may be better off buying now during a festive season sale if you’re looking for anything other than a GPU

The 14500kf is pretty much the same as 13th gen in performance, like 3-4% increase. I heard that Intel's 15th gen may be better. Therefore, rather go for a 13th gen or wait for the 15th gen.

GPUs... well, I have a huge game catalogue which I still need to play through with my existing GPU, so I will wait until prices ( maybe ) comes down?

For AMD, you can try the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, much cheaper than the 7600x.
