Post your bike/bikes

I ticked a box today. No words can explain the experience on this machine. Thank you @Wacko_ZA for the introduction to this amazing world of baparaboopi motorcycles.

Freaking amazing photo.

Its coming up on two years since I sold my Gen2 Z1000. Freaking miss that bike more per day. It had an insanely good intake whine.
Last photo I have before it was shipped to its new owner.

Thanks man!

That is such a bitter sweet photo. I have a short video where the new owner drives my ex 320d E90 out my driveway. Was a sad, sad day for me.

Would you rather have the Z1000 above the MT10?

Hell no, but I would at any time buy another one and keep it alongside the MT10.
The one and only place I would even bother to measure them in the same category is fuel consumption :ROFLMAO:

I finally got a nice exhaust for my S1000R again, collecting tomorrow. I can't imagine letting her go. It does not compare to the Ducati at all, but I just can't let that bike go. I will hold on for as long as I can afford to keep her.

As someone who has never swapped out to an aftermarket pipe, you have to give more info.
What did you go with ?

I miss my ninja daily every time I get on the Aprilia too.
Was only a 600cc but god was that bike fun to ride.
Crank the throttle and just hold on.

I bought the bike with a BMW/Factory Akrapovic slipon installed. So it had the Akra and BMW HP branding. When I dropped the bike last year, it scuffed the exhaust and rekt the carbon caps. I can't justify spending R16k to replace the slip on, so I made peace that I will install a generic slip on when the time comes.

A friend found the same slip on for a REALLY good price on FB Marketplace this morning, and I am collecting tomorrow. Whooo.

oo so just a replacement.
Akrapovic makes a freaking sexy pipe for my bike, I had a chance to pick it up for R10k new last year but was stupid enough to pass.
Now its also freaking expensive everywhere.

Yeah the titanium stuff, regardless of manufacturer, is ridiculously expensive. A SC Projects slip on for my S1000R came to around 15k as well.

I actually have SC slip-on on the Ape, and while it sounds heavenly (it's properly loud a.f), I have lost quite a bit of top end on the bike.
Should probably get the bike back to my mechanic one day so we can see why that is as the Ape is running on stock ECU mappings currently rather than the custom ECU mapping my mechanic had tweaked over a period of his time while he had her

True that, my Street Triples Titanium Arrow was 18K. Recently found out it had a baffle in haha, I removed it and now it makes all sorts of new sexy noises.

Nice surprise! I got my Ducati with the baffles out, would've liked to ride a few months with them in to have something left to change when I get used to the sound. :D Now its just GRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Thanks for answering a question I had about whether fitting one of those carbon SC1-R SC Project pipes to my Ape would affect power at all; my mechanic warned me that I'd have to have the standard ECU remapped or buy a race ECU (but eish, the price of that is rough). Do you have the short CR-T on yours?

Who works on your bike, out of interest?

Yea, running a shorty on mine (This one by the look of it https://eauto.pk/wp-content/uploads/EA1418.jpg)
And the guy who works on my bike runs GC Tuned

I wouldn't mind this but isn't there a curfew at the moment?

Also where about would this happen?

We're on level 1 - Coronavirus COVID-19 Alert level 1 | South African Government

We could all meet at a point that's somewhat central in Gauteng which is probably Randburg; We can meet at Linux Yamaha? (easy highway access).

Suggestions on local spots to have a meal? - Good food, can cater for 10+ bikers (Hopefully) and is in need of local support.

I'm more than happy to ride out, the ride is part of the fun ;)

So. One place I would never say no to, and that is a bit of a ride is Grill King in Heidelberg

Been there once, and have been drooling to go back.

Yea, Linux is relatively close.
There is a burger joint near little falls which has pretty decent burgers but its not really much of a ride from linux.
There is also a place called burger box in krugersdorp, which is a bit more of a ride.

trust this dip to not read "we all need to meet up for a night ride"
But regardless I would still ride at night to go chow there.
