I've been messaged by someone with the username "I am Groot" he has sent me his number and via WhatsApp offered me a GPU for very cheap however I've noticed he only joined carbonite on Monday yet has VIP supporter. Can it be looked in as I'm not sure

He has scammed me of 1760 rand and after claiming his gonna send the item he blocked me on WhatsApp. His name is kilian John from kingsburgh of that's what he claims. I have contacted the bank, does anyone know if there's any other thing that can help? Thank you

I'm afraid the info he shared with you is incorrect and most probably fake. @nicodium might have the most accurate info, as what he has actually seems like a legit house.

Please share as much information as possible. Serial scammer. Here’s all I have on him.

I sold him an iPhone 11 last year before he even joined this forum, I met him late at night at a mall & he sent the money in advanced an it reflected. Later he disputed the payment, but through fighting with Nedbank & showing chat logs, I won the case. During this ordeal he told me his name was “Sean”, Nedbank told me it was Muhammad.

Fast forward to one of his first posts here an iPhone 6s for R250. I contacted him to purchase it, when he told me I sold him an iPhone 11 last year. I told him he disputed the last payment & he said it was a misunderstanding.

He claims he is currently in Cape Town what he told me so I had to meet his “dad”, which I did for the iPhone 6s. Luckily I got it and was no scammed.

His name is not Kailan, his name is not Sean.

Number he used when I sold him the iPhone 11 (went dead for a few months after I sold it to him, but seems to be working now): +27 69 310 0564

Happy to assist in any regard to get this guy properly charged. Still pissed about my Nedbank account being marked at fraudulent

Got scammed by this dude as well this morning, from the number +27 67 175 1790 above.

I've also contacted my bank to try and recover my funds.

He sent me and necodium the exact same statement for proof of address but both had different addresses,he sent me discovery bank details while he sent necodium Absa details

This guy PMed me yesterday offering a suspiciously good deal. I saw he only recently joined and the combination of the two sent the warning lights flashing for me.
I ignored the PM.

The pics he attached of the device also looked very low quality, almost like a compressed download from somewhere else.

This is his twitter. From here scrolling through it you can find many other names, his friend groups, names he went by etc.

It is a friend circle, so if you find one of them and search their friends, you can see they all friends with each other. Don’t wanna bring them into it, however collecting a list of everything we got on him, we can identify about 5 or 6 of his close friends (might be old), won’t disclose names.
