Would not mind this and hopefully they don’t stray from this design with production models ☝️ …
What is dis boi racer crappies? I thought you had real car like Porsche or something.

Nah, I can't get past the fact that it's ugly AF.

And I don't buy that video of it beating a Porsche. That needs auditing.

Can confirm it’s faster than the Porsche … looks will grow on you … it’s what’s inside that counts 🙏

Maybe it could grow on me (doubt it, I replace my specs regularly) but that ugly ass body must have some drawbacks when driving too. Visibility for one must be terrible.

I find the divisive nature of the looks the most interesting. I think it looks sweet. Some people love it, others hate it. It's certainly unconventional.

Rear visibility isn't excellent, but the digital rear-view mirror and side mirrors and such help with that. The short bonnet will take getting used to.

I'm disappointed though that many of the features showed in the concept car didn't make it to the production model (not to mention the price hike and range cut) the built-in compressor silently went away and the ramp that was integrated into the tail gate (remember they made such a big deal about this that they designed a CyberQuad around this idea) is no longer, instead they're offering a separate ramp as a $400 optional extra - just a normal ramp, no special integration - and you'll need 2 to load the bloody quad!!!
When the vapour of vapourware hits the rubber of the road of delivery shiz goan get ixnayed.

As a software developer I understand vapourware... but man... Elon's vapourware tends to be next level dreaming xD

At this stage he has a lot of vapourware that is due delivery... a few years ago.
even the tyres are proprietary.
When I saw this I was like "WHY?!" ... surely that would push the price up significantly because is not like a "normal" tyre you can go to supafit and get. Anything made in smaller quantities will be pricier than mass produced stuff.

Yea those tyres not being an off the shelf item is going to be stupid expensive

Yes agree. The looks are different and unique and I love it … I wonder if people watched the video you posted and I posted !?

Assuming those tyres are a relatively standard size, there's no reason you couldn't use an off-the-shelf tyre. You may lose the hubcap though, so efficiency will take a small knock.

I did but its clearly just not for me but then I drive an old Polo sedan so should be into shapeless metallic things. :D

Looks aside, is there nothing about it that you find interesting?

Nope. I would classify some things as impressive but honestly they don't even elevate my heart rate by an extra beat a minute. If one passed me on the road it would have my attention briefly (it would after all be going far faster than me) but I wasn't joking earlier when I said the Hilux Champ interests me far more.

I'll be @TheJudge of that.

Tyres are still normal round tyres. The side walls are just molded to match the hubcaps. Tyre is a tyre is a tyre. Unless it's the Lockheed SR71 Blackbird with Aluminum manufactured into the tyres. But its not. Its just a tyre for a bakkie.

Not even surprised about that. But if you doubt it, show us any other video in the past from Tesla that wasn't true or false marketing.

Visibility for one must be terrible.

What rear visibility? There isn't any. Maybe a camera in future will be added. But there isnt. I sold bakkies for 5 years. 90% of buyers fitted a canopy that ruined their visibility in any event.
Have you seen how bad the rear visibility is in many supercars? Like Bugatti Veyron etc? No one cares about it.

I wonder if people watched the video you posted and I posted !?

I doubt it. Because without watching the videos myself I would not be supporting the Cybertruck. The latest reviews changed my opinion on it.

There is already a rear-view camera, pops up a camera feed on the screen so you have rear-view visibility permanently. There is also a rear-view mirror which you can use, but only when the tonneau cover is open. That has an impact on range unfortunately.

Well with that much acceleration I am not sure why anyone would need to look behind them anyway.

I think there's a really strong argument for some US police forces to adopt this vehicle - super speed, super strong, 4 wheel steering makes it remarkably agile, that huge battery down low makes it impossible to roll - plus it's bullet proof (somewhat...at least compared to current US police vehicles)
Maintenance is minimal, police don't need 500mile range patrol vehicles....

Think about how often police PIT other reckless drivers. They could PIT them in the CT and never worry about damage :D
