Searched for "PC resets upon switching over to UPS" and similar. No results. Could someone here help?
My games desktop resets every time power switches over to UPS. The Dell office desktop stays on.
MPE 7501 750W power supply to ROGSTRIX H370-F motherboard and Nvida 3080 graphics card.
UPS is a Victron Multigrid transformer-based inverter, supposedly full-time double-conversion.
Perhaps a spike?

Is your 3080 based computer under load when it resets (gaming)? Does it reset even if it is at idle (desktop/YouTube)?

The UPS function on your inverter apparently switches over in under 20ms. Your PSU has a hold up time of more than 14ms at full load.

I'd say that your issue lays somewhere here.

You can do a work around as well by placing a UPS between your PC and the Inverter it would also act as an extra backup for when the inverter is running low on juice

A double conversion (AKA online) UPS should have a switching time of 0ms as by definition it always runs off the batteries. If it has a switching time exceeding instant (as in 0ms) it can't be double conversion. I can't find anything about his UPS online, though.

Implies the batteries in the ups are depleted and need replacing if it is an online ups.

I don't think the multigrid can be considered as a online UPS. Found this in the manual:

UPS feature:
If this setting is ‘on’ and AC on the input fails, the MultiGrid switches to inverter operation practically without interruption. The MultiGrid can therefore be used as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for sensitive equipment such as computers or communicationsystems. The output voltage of some small generator sets is too unstable and distorted for using this setting – the MultiGrid would continually switch to inverter operation. For this reason, the setting can be turned off. The MultiGrid will then respond less quickly to AC inputvoltage deviations. The switchover time to inverter operation is consequently slightly longer, but most equipment (most computers, clocks or household equipment) is not adversely impacted. Recommendation: Turn the UPS feature off if the MultiGrid fails to synchronise, or continually switches back to inverter operation.

Maybe this setting is off? No specs on the switch over time - odd for a Victron product.

I think we are getting a bit off topic and we need feedback from OP if he still wants help.

Just remember the Dell office PC stays running during the same switch over period.
