Hello all

Quick check to see what I am experiencing with EB3A is normal or weird,,,

So I recently purchsed the Bluetti EB3A and I am really struggling to use this thing for my purpose.
My plan was to use it as an UPS for a PC.
PC has 600W PSU. I have about week worth of power usage logs through the smart plug. And max load was ~490W so far with average load of ~260W. So I am guessing the unit can handle the PC well.

Now the problem part, It seems even when the EB3A gets power from the wall (UPS mode ON, Eco mode OFF), the AC power port keeps switching off and on randomly without no reason. and this switch over time looks to be more than 25ms (longer than what PSU can handle). Obviously, the PC loses power,,, and back on immediately.

This really happens at random time.
1. When loadshedding starts, it keeps the PC on all good, but then few min later it switches off and on again.
2. When no loadshedding and battery is at 100% (UPS mode), randomly switches off and on...
3. When no loadshedding and battery is not at 100% (UPS + Charge mode), still randomly switches off an on...

Anyone owns one of this EB3A, did you guys also experienced weird random off and on?... or I am just unlucky??

For now, I am using it in a frankenstein way,,, Wall -> EB3A -> mecer UPS -> PC.... FML efficiency of this thing is screaming at me,, but UPS is saving tons currently from that random EB3A switching...

*additional info: Some might ask why not just use UPS,, mecer UPS automatically shuts down after about 25min usage even if there are still power left. Sometimes I need to power the PC for max ~50min before shut down safely. Also, EB3A adds great power bank for camping,, so decided to go for this one rather.

Are you using a surge protector between AC and the Bluetti?
I have not added any surge protector between the units
Wall - EB3A -> No
EB3A - PC -> No

But even while it is not powered from the wall (no feed), still switches off,,,,

But thanks for the idea, I do have surge protector so I will update after testing with it.

Could be faulty.

Could be that it it hits a limit and switches off for safety.

600w is very small.

Plug in only a monitor into the Bluetti and the rest in the wall and check if it does the same thing.

I have my TV permanently plugged in through mine, and found the same issue when I used the following settings:
Eco mode > On
Charging mode > Silent
The AC port randomly switched and TV would restart, happened every 20 min or so.
TV uses around 60-70W average and no surge protectors installed at the moment.

I changed the settings to Eco mode Off and Charging mode normal and have not noticed the issue since then.
But not sure if the problem is solved properly, or if Im just lucky it hasnt happened again.

I found when researching this issue that it was not uncommon unfortunately, not sure what causes it.

My current mode is
ECO mode -> OFF
Slient mode -> ON

Let me try with silent mode off right now.. if this also solves problem for me, I will cry man 😂

@jtomcat16
I have switched to normal mode from silent, and it has been about 30min so far.
I did not notice the random switching....
Wow... so it must be something to do with the silent mode then....

Thanks man!

Awesome, glad it seems to solve the issue for you
I left it on since and still going well!
Thanks bud

If anyone reads this in the future, here is the solution:
I changed the settings to Eco mode Off and Charging mode normal and have not noticed the issue since then.
