Hi,

I am in the market for a new GPU and cannot decide which has the best cooler in terms of cooling performance vs noise., specifically their RTX40 line-up. Personally the Palit card are ugly, but if they perform good I can look past the design. A few years ago I had a Zotac amp, but I was very disappointed with the cooler performance, but not sure how they are these days. So anyway what is your experience with these or is it really worth it to pay a 20-30% premium and get a MSI or Asus?

The Palit and Zotac are both on that chart. The site has similar reviews for the 4080s and 4070Tis.

Personally I've found Palit cards have less heat issues than Zotac across a variety of models.
The Zotac RTX 3080 and above, in particular ran too hot.

I would go Palit if I had to choose between the two.

No the price premium is not worth it unless you have the money and perhaps want to do a themed build.

Thanks for this.

Hi,

Just some feedback. I went with the Palit GamingPro and decided on the 4070ti as I feel it is more value for money in SA (no this is not an opportunity to start a rant on rtx40 performance, price, etc) compared to our silly 4080 prices.

Back to the point. I am very impressed with the Palit card. The power limit on the card is locked, but I upped +150 on the core and +1000 on the memory.

Gaming:
Power draw: +-230W-260W
GPU temp: +-62C
Mem temp: +-65C
Hotspot temp: +-74C
Fans: 1300-1400rpm

Benchmarking:
Power draw: 285W
GPU temp: 71C
Mem temp: 70C
Hotspot temp: 84C
Fans: +-1600rpm

All this during our heatwave and the fans are still silent. Apart from the power limit that is locked, happy with the purchase.
