Hi all,
So busy troubleshooting intermittent internet issues.
Devices:
Unifi LR-6 AP's (3)
Cat 6a used throughout entire network
USG Pro (Unifi)
Unifi PoE Switch
ISP: OpenServe 500/250 line
I've used ping plotter / MTR to test overall performance. Seen +- 1/3% packet loss on uplinks (this to me is acceptable). However, on stream services (youtube, netflix, tiktok) etc, it tends to buffer. Besides the buffering, when the internet drops off randomly. I need to reboot the ont 2/3 times + the unifi usg, this then ultimately provides with "internet" and no buffering.
I've been in discussion with my ISP and they recommend the next step is to replace the ONT. Now the question is? Can I get one locally , or should I pay the R1800+- to get a replacement ( the waiting period for this, is uhm per slots with openserve themselves).
Above that, any other recommendations? I've dived into troubleshooting the Unifi system (please note all Tv's are connected via cable), i even went as far as replacing the switch + unifi usg with spares. Same issue.
Thanks in advance.
