Yes, but the issue here is would be playing overwatchWow. This is without any DLSS or RT.
If you get the Corsair 1000D, you'll be able to fit the RTX4080Ti and then the RTX5050Ti, but nothing after that. You'll have to get a bigger chassis again.I can honestly say I never saw the day coming where I would have to upgrade my case to fit a fucking gpu again lol!
Since I really don't care for aesthetics I bought a Haf X many moons ago because it's a tower type , thinking I wouldn't ever have to bother buying another case again.
a 4080 barely fits according to the specs? My max length is 34.3cm. So the founder's edition fits, and the Gaming Trio/Suprim will fit. The Asus tuf and rog which is my brand of choice is too big.
So my initial plan was to wait for a 4080 Ti but obviously that pos won't fit, so next year when I feel like upgrading again I will first just buy an ever bigger fucking case and hopefully this will be the last time in my life.
I feel a fuck about how the case looks, it must just be able to fit a huge gpu lol
Hahaha I was eying that case, fuck it would be the last purchase I'm sure. Anything bigger than these 4090s needs to be external with a stand or somethingIf you get the Corsair 1000D, you'll be able to fit the RTX4080Ti and then the RTX5050Ti, but nothing after that. what are the messurements for the 4080 or 4090, i have a meshify XL and im wondering if it will fit?I can honestly say I never saw the day coming where I would have to upgrade my case to fit a fucking gpu again lol!

maybe it extends like a telescopeNevermind i should be ok, Im worried about the weight though and that the card is going to sag alot, that little stand thing that comes with the 4090 strix aint nearly long enough
It does extend @adamr but from what i could make out is it will only hold the card up if you put it in the bottom pci express slot, i dont see how it will hold the cards up ifs in the top slot. Also the strix only has double bracket screwSo I’ll be brutally honest have not followed these cards that much … but my biggest concern is with the size and power draw on these things won’t they dump a whole bunch of heat into your pc … so cooling becomes a massive thing and almost feels like a water cooled system is the way … that’s not considering the psu and case considerations … really would caution people to wait for reviews (not open bench)
maybe it extends like a telescope
For some reason the hype on this card is less than Ampere even though the upgrade seems bigger. Ampere actually sold a few 3090s at those prices (actually more) if you can remember.MSI X 4090 trio R43k
MSI Liquid Supreme X R47k
Gigabyte Aurous R55k
Flippit... Need to go find my lube for this one..
Probably a lot of people realising that their 3080's/3090's/3090Ti's halved in price over a couple of months, and don't want to get hit with that again. Second hand market for 3000 series is also really low, the $$$ you'd have to add in, to get a 4000 series card is unrealistic. If I sold my 3080, I'd have to put in +-R28 000+ for a 4090. - wtf.For some reason the hype on this card is less than Ampere even though the upgrade seems bigger. Ampere actually sold a few 3090s at those prices (actually more) if you can remember.
But alas they will still be out of stock, there are a lot of wealthy peeps out there.
Depends if you have it in Storage setup or single layer fan setup.what are the messurements for the 4080 or 4090, i have a meshify XL and im wondering if it will fit?
It's only dumb if you don't work for nVidia.Kinda dumb to split the launches so only the 4090 gets reviewed and sold this month. Previously the x80 and x90 launched on the same day.
I did some tricks with the Woot sliders and I dunno if 4080 pricing is gonna be too appealing. R12K might be a very optimistic price delta between the 30 and 4080.View attachment 61709
This is without DLSS, I don't see the 4080 being any faster than a 3080 12gb. So basically it's either 4090 or gtfo.
Unless you really want to use DLSS 3.0 as your selling point, in which case you would be stupid because you could pickup a 3080 for like R12k or less.
Yep but what I mean is you can pickup a 3080 for 12k these days, so the difference is a lot more. And we not even speaking about that rebranded 12gb 4070/60I did some tricks with the Woot sliders and I dunno if 4080 pricing is gonna be too appealing. R12K might be a very optimistic price delta between the 30 and 4080.
There is stock in country,@Wrinkled_PP_Lover are you revising your R38k estimate at all ? R/$ seems to be worse.
Do you think there is going to be any stock in SA tomorrow ?
Do bear in mind it's going to be around 1.7X the performance of your 3080 in raster at 1440 and your 3080 will not sell for more than R10K used. That's 1.7X for 3.5X the money. It's your money of course and more power to you, but I dunno if the value makes sense. At R35K I can maybe afford one but I still dunno if there would be any point ditching my GPU for R15K and paying a whopping R20K just to get 1.5-1.6X the FPS in games I play. It's like saying R20K to go from 115 FPS to 180 FPS in Forza Horizon 5.If the Palit 4090 on Wootware is R34999 like the slider, I think I might be really really tempted. The jump from a 3080 to a 4090 is right there with my jump from a 1080Ti to 3080.
Almost everything about the 4090 is great.
- It's great at 1440p and excels at 4K with plenty VRAM for next generation games.
- DLSS 3.0 which should improve over time like DLSS 1.0 which was crappy initially.
- Cooling and power delivery are beefy.
- Overclocking seems good with actual gains in games, some might even have a 600w performance bios.
Only downsides are cost, size and power. I have a 780T case and 1200w PSU so it really just depends on what they are priced at.

Clouds are my favorite types of marshmallows.Didn't you spend a small fortune hopping parts for minor gains R25k for almost double the 4K performance is pretty good.
Damn if that Palit is really R35K then Woot just dropped the mic and declared victory, cause damn that is lower than even my most optimistic estimate. If the Palit 4090 on Wootware is R34999 like the slider, I think I might be really really tempted.
