Hi all I hope everyone is well ,

I currently have an interview tomorrow for a new position and need some insight,

I've been employed at my current employer for about a year and 2 month's, If everything goes well tomorrow I'd like to put in 2 weeks notice (to sort of have 2 weeks off before starting at the new company)

is this possible? , the contract I signed at my current employer was rather weird it was a drivers contract (logistics) however I am not employed as a driver/

any assistance would be greatly appreacited

What does your contract say? This should be specified in your contract. If it isn't it would be very strange, but then you would probably need to speak to HR or your manager about it.

It would be a bit crappy though, then they know you want to leave.

Your contract should state what your notice period is. If you deviate from what your contract says, your employer could take you to court for breach of contract. Whether it's likely that they actually would do that, is another matter. If you don't serve your full notice period they could also dock part/all of your pay for the last month.

The other place to look would be your company's HR policy.

I am not a lawyer. The above is not legal advice. If you want legal advice, contact a lawyer.
