Hi all

New to this forum. Just a quick one.
I use my PC for gaming.

Current build:
I5 3330
960 GTX
600W PSU
H77MA-G43 mobo
8gb ram

I'm looking at getting a second hand or new cpu off the classifieds. Is it worth while going for something like an i5 3570K or should I just get a new mobo and cpu?

Thanks
Warren

No point getting a K cpu with that board - you can't change the multiplier with an H77 chipset.

Honestly I think that's a pretty balanced system. Maybe pick up a faster cpu if you find a bargain but you're not going to see a big improvement in gaming. While I had a GTX980 I downgraded from a 4790 to a low end i5 and saw no difference.
Rather keep saving for a bigger GPU and upgrade to Ivy Bridge or Skylake in a year or two.

That said, what are you playing? If you're playing Cities Skylines or something equally CPU intensive then yes, run out and get an i7 :)

Thanks for the much appreciated feedback.

Saving it is then.

Playing BF4,CSGO and the new NFS.
