Hi Guys,

Im looking for a new case because I feel like going bigger :) tired of M-ATX.

Anyway I like corsair and I want it to stay that way. Im looking at the 780T or 760T.

Any other suggestions welcome :)

I'm mainly looking at air cooling performance.

Regards

I am considering that one. But how is the noise level on that case? I'm not quoting anyone but I hear they are quite noisy cases...

I'm happy with the noise level from my case. I'm running 3x120mm in front and 1x120 exhaust at the rear.
It got noticeably louder when I switched from SP120s to JetFlos but definitely not loud enough to bother me, and that's with it sitting on my desk.
The only time I can hear my GPU (980 twin frozr) is if I manually set the fans to 100%, but they never go over 60% while gaming.

It is a very open case so I guess it will be louder than others with the same number of fans. The open-ness of the case means your fans are almost always at minimum rpm though.

Spacey non restrictive cases are the best :D...540 vs 780....its cube v.s tower

im mainly doing this because summer really affects the 350D temps a lot. And the 4790K i have now really is a bitchy one. The temps are insane with this chip. I think i have the worst 4790K of them all. Load temps even after delid are sitting at 68c with a h100i gtx at silent mode.

Yikes :( You want yours back from me? :p
Seriously though, are those temps that bad? Mine at load is 70c, GC Extreme under an H75 @ 1500.

is your cpu stock??Could always move somewhere cooler with lower ambient lol...Back to the case...I recon the 540 is slightly better in terms of air cooling but it has its limits...in terms of hard drives and rad space if you were going to water cool custom...780 is very pretty but its so huge if you don't have the hardware to fill it.

yea lol this really is a bad chip... stock voltage i can leave it at 1.155v and its stable at 4.4ghz. 4.5ghz however i need 1.225v lol like wtf?

yea complete stock settings just lowered voltage and I did the delid myself. Even redid the delid just to make sure i didnt screw up. I was leaning toward the 760T but i dont like that panel uptop. Apparently you must remove the cover when using a RAD. then it just looks bad lol... Now the 780T seems to be what im looking for. But I have a mAtx board which is gonna look so small. Will maybe swap for a ATX board.

Ah... I'm running stock at the moment but it went up to 4.6 without a hassle, not sure of voltages though.
Forgot to add - case is a 200R and airflow isn't great as my office is like a hotbox so could account for high temps I guess?

Im pretty convinced its either my 350D or where I place my pc. It sits on Tiles under my pc desk...

Agree on the 780 being too big... it's ludicrously big and even ATX looks a bit silly in there IMO. With a few rads in I reckon it looks a bit better.

I checked the 760T side comparison. It doesnt actually look that much smaller than the 780T. Basically internally its the same damn size...

lol to give you a idea a 780t can hold a h100i in push pull natively ...that's cray lol

lol i remember my 750D could do that too... ok well it seems my eyes are set on the Cray Cray 780T.. Just need to find a bigger board so my pc fits more plush into that thing

I have been an Antec Fan all my life and for the first time took a step into a new direction and will tell you I have been thoroughly impressed by the NZXT H440 that I have. Is a good looking case. Its sturdy with good airflow through the case . I will highly recommend it . I know you are comfortable with Corsair but I was comfortable in my city Golf till i drove my moms BMW.

I took the Red version - Do note - No Cd Rom bay.

I also considered that. But the NZXT just isnt appealing to me... I've ordered the 780T because KLEAN_upguy mentioned Native Push Pull H100i haha

For a full ATX case, my personal favourite would be the 540 air, or 780t both extremely nice on opposite ends of the case, cube or tower ^ ^. Acoustic wise, the 540 was great and I was running cf 290x XD. airflow is fantastic, and love the double chamber design.

Well if I dont like the 780T carb is here waiting for me xD then Ill definitely give the 540 a shot

Sure the 780T will do justice as it's even got me wanting to go bigger, maybe even get one hydro dipped ^ ^ goodluck with the new build :)

So many nzxt fans...I never really liked their quality to be honest...have you considered the more modest looking 650d or if you want bigger 750d...

I'm surprised that a lot of people don't go for fractal,or mention it.When they think of aircooling,i own the fractal r5 and i can say it is quality, and it is the quietest case out there.

Where do I buy Fractal? If this case doesnt do itself justice then that is also an option :)

I see a lot of mixed reviews about it being big but the cooling is mediocre (780T i mean) and a lot of em say the cooling is great and its quieter than the 760T. So meh Im also confused...
