So Im building a new PC - mainly for gaming and streaming

I have a pretty decent rig at the moment but I have decided to gift it to my girlfriend to start gaming with me ( she was on console )

So ive been building it part for part and got my first few parts Im not a tech guru but I am familiar with the pc world

what Ive built up in my mind is below - note im going for a white/black/rgb setup

any advice is welcome but i did also set my heart to a amd am5 build

Case : Gamdias Talos E3 white case
Case fans : Gamdias Aeolus M2

Motherboard : Asus Prime B650M-K Am5 (purely because i want the 2 M.2 pcie slots for SSDS

CPu : either Ryzen 5 7500f or 7600x (I try to budget for both)

Ram : Corsair Vengeance 32gb DDR5 5600mhz

Powersupply : Deepcool PK750 750watt 80+ Bronze

Cooler : Deepcool AK400 digital white

SSD 1 : klevv Cras c700 480gb ( mainly for my OS)

SSD 2 : Klevv Cras C730 2TB (for games mainly)

SSD 3 : I have a spare hikvision 1tb I dont use but will be using it for the new PC

GPU : looking into a RX 6600 (possibly on the used market for a 6600XT) or Rtx 3060

Generally as a disclosure for what games I play is :

Valorant
Call of duty Mw3
Cyberpunk 2077
Borderlands 3 and tiny tina wonderlands

Im not picky on high graphics - but would like to play games like cyberpunk on medium settings.

Made some notable changes to maximise your budget. Hope this helps, all the best with the build :)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X

RAM: G Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB CL30 6000Mhz

Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M Gaming X

PSU: Super Flower Leadex III 750W Gold (White)

SSD: Teamgroup MP44 2TB

GPU: XFX RX 6700 XT Speedster 12GB

CPU Cooler: ID Cooling FX240 ARGB (White)

First step is to delete Evetech from your life.

The above suggestions are good, all decent parts. As a general rule for a gaming PC, you want to spend as much of your budget as possible on the GPU.

What’s wrong with Evetech?
Literally everything.

A small sampling of their excellence:

Care to elaborate?
Literally just search "Evetech" on the forum. It's got to the point now where whenever someone posts something about "help, I tried to RMA my item that arrived broken but the store refuses to help me," people automatically assume it's Evetech and 9 times out of 10 they're right.

Dude you joined 2019 how could you not know by now.
I haven’t seen these posts until this moment. I primarily shop at Wootware, however I’ve never had issues with Evetech when I do. There were occasions I requested Evetech to send parts to Wootware on my behalf without any qualms. Although clearly, my personal experience differs greatly from others.

1. Your Hikvision 1TB SSD is prob faster (If its NVME) than what you plan to use for your OS drive.
2. This is a even better SSD for your boot drive - Evetech Custom Computer Systems, Gaming Computers, Desktops Gaming PCs
3. You prob dont need 32GB RAM.
4. What resolution do you plan to play at and what FPS do you require on average? 6600XT is a great card, (for sub 4k res) buy 1 2nd hand with warranty and save some $. AMD's FSR is open source (works with nVidia too) and will gain traction, making a supported GPU even more functional FPS wise.
5. Review PSU for efficiency, I'd rather get a quality gold rated PSU 2nd hand (usually 5-7y warranty, so should have some left), especially if you'll now have 2x gaming PC's running.

From your PC specs its obvious you are going for a higher spec PC than usual so you are willing to spend a fair amount of money, so don't skimp on the PSU. You selected a Bronze certified PSU, go for Gold... literally.
A good PSU is vital, but it's worth bearing in mind "gold" doesn't necessarily mean "higher quality." E.g. Raidmax makes gold PSUs that are very dodgy, I'd rather have the bronze Deepcool than a gold Raidmax.

Worth sticking with the known PSU brands like Antec, Corsair, Superflower, Silverstone, etc.

Furthermore, PSU tiers offer greater insight on the capabilities of the unit. My current recommendation for an affordable high quality Tier A PSU would be the Super Flower Leadex III or VII XG (ATX 3.0) range.

Agreed, I wont touch a Raidmax, UNLESS its a OEM from Corsair, FSP, Silverstone.

I've got to the point where parts like a PSU & GPU, I "always" buy 2nd hand on Carbs, from someone reputable, where the item has a local warranty from a decent retailer. This can easily save 3-5k, which could be put into a better GPU or kept for a rainy day / etc.

IMHO GPU's advance so much in 2-3y, that for me and how little time I get to game, buying new just isn't a good use of my money. Currently going from a 1060 6G to a 6600XT , which *averages* out at 90-100% inprovement in "every" game and "every" resolution. Sure its been more then 3y since I got the 1060, but a 6600XT is finally at a good price / performance ratio for my basic 1080p / 1440p needs.

This is a sick build, I second it.

So I only bought the few parts from them BUT a majority is from Woot at the least...i only went to eve for the case and small parts

As for the gpu...I notice allot of comments on going for a gold 80...so i didnt know theres a difference and Ive decided to order a new one next month, will just keep the 750 i have now for next time

Thank you everyone , I also looked at the one build that was recommended and will most likely go for what was recommended but just as a clarification

I work with a budget of 7.5k a month and wanted to aim to finish the pc by march this year to get my gf into gaming too with me...but i dont mind giving it one extra month!

Thank you everyone ❤️‍🔥

Superbump on deleting evetech from your life.
This thread has made me paranoid about Evetech. I was forced to order from their store last night as they were the only retailer with local stock of a particular mouse I’ve been wanting. I sprinkled some holy water over my invoice in hopes it arrives unscathed. Pray for me brethren

But from your response it seems your mind was made up before the thread was created you just looking if the parts were okay.

So no don't liss

Personally I haven’t had issues with Evetech, I will however take heed & avoid them whenever possible. Unfortunately my recent purchase from them was unavoidable as they are selling a discontinued mouse from their personal stock. Also thought some light hearted humour was needed to undampen the mood.

Evetech is why my itrader is relatively high

Their nonsense on an rma (back in 2015) led me to Carbonite, sadly not early enough
That’s hectic

I’m a lot more cautious about them now.
I actually called them before I placed my recent order to inquire about their questionable history with bad customer support, damaged parts, late deliveries & improper RMA’s. Their main responses were “The many good occurrences that most of our customers experience, outweighs the few bad cases that a few of our customers unfortunately experience due to unforeseen circumstances. If it’s something within our power, we try our best to rectify it”. “There are so many good people at Evetech who are passionate about what they do, that truly go above & beyond for the customer but everyone wants to hop on the bandwagon & exclusively focus on the few bad experiences yet many avoid commenting on their good experiences”. “Nobody talks about the free upgrades we offer to some of our customers”. That’s all I could recall from the conversation

Shortly after they offered me a designated customer support & sales rep to personally handle all current & future orders or RMA’s for my peace of mind.

Considering what Evetech said.
They clearly have a PR problem, the abundance in backlash is blatant yet they have refrained from making a public statement or at least some form of response to the vast “hate Evetech” threads on Carbs. I find this entire ordeal rather odd, if they are truly horrendous should they not be reported to the National Consumer Commission for various violations. And if they are not as awful as they say, why have they not come forward?

I must clarify I am not defending Evetech, merely asking a few questions & presenting thoughts.

The highlighted bit, is the issue.

It's not just cases of sending wrong items, not having stock of replacements, etc. - those things happen to all retail shops, and the number of happy customers outweigh the ones that have these sorts of issues - that is fine.

It's how Evetech responds when something goes wrong and it's their own fault that is the problem. They do not try their best to rectify it. They rectify it by means that leave the customer worse off than when they started, instead of putting the customer in the same position as when the item was purchased.

Recent examples include refusing refunds, refunding in store credit that expires in 90 days and can't be paid out in cash, refunding smaller amounts than the original purchase price due to "depreciation," blaming the customer for issues they themselves caused, and any number of other issues.

While other retail outlets also make mistakes sometimes, they do not perform the above anti-consumer practices when it comes to rectifying their mistakes. In general one of the best reflection of a person or an organisation's integrity, is how they take responsibility for their own mistakes, and Evetech fails to do that in ways that other retail shops do not.

This RAM is faster, has decent timings, and the same price(or less) Mushkin MRF5U600DDDM16GX2 Redline ST 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000MHz CL36 1.35V Black Desktop Memory - Wootware

I recommend using the biggest, fastest SSD for your OS.

Could also get a cheaper motherboard and put more money towards better graphics card, if you sell your SSDs and just get one big SSD.
2tb should be more than enough.
