Hey guys,

My Netgear ADSL modem / router is acting weird. Sometimes while I try to copy large amounts of stuff from one PC to another on my home network (over WiFi) the router will "trip". It basically resets itself and I can't understand why.

I thought it could be a power issue, so I put it on another power line but still did the same thing when trying to copy BF4 to another PC.

Also, sometimes when doing a hard reboot (switching it off and on) it would lose all saved info and I have to either set it up again or restore a backup of the info I saved.

Is it FUBAR or could something else be causing this ?

WhatI know about routers is dangerous, but my vote goes to heat issue or fubar.

Signs of being hit my lightning or power surge.....its FUBAR. ask insurande nicely for a new one
