So last load shedding cycle my PSU (CORSAIR AX860i Platinum 80+) kukd out.

The PSU makes clicky sounds when turning on and off and randomly turns off with no error messages or console messages. Just turns off by itself, sometimes repeatedly going on and off multiple times. When it turns off without going back on, I try to turn it on manually with the button, but nothing happens, just clicks. Note: this only happened after loadshedding one night.

Having load shedding again made the problem worse now.

After contacting my insurance, they said they need a damage report in order to replace the product.

Is there anyone who can do this for me? Or can someone please point me in the right direction?

The PSU is still under warranty as far as I know (it had like 8 years or 7 years left when I bought it last October). Should I use the warranty or insurance? Insurance would replace it with the current equivalent (so something newer).

Insurance is usually a hassle, especially when it comes to gaming hardware. Imho id try the warrantee route and see if supplier is willing to replace, dont mention LS.
Otherwise any registered IT support company will suffice but let them also quote same time on a equivalent psu so that insurance doesnt pay you on a generic psu.
