So as most of you know, I sold the 600T, custom loop and ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 to pursue the m-ITX CUD that has been burning in me for the past few months (Since everyone kept on posting M-ITX pr0n all over the place).

So I've still got MANY things planned to do a custom front panel for the case and a whole bunch of other ideas, also interior lighting scheme, etc, so for now this is what I've got until I've made my mind up and received my parts still on their way:

All cables and stuff laid out, plus our helpful kitteh keeping an eye on everything:

And... that's it for now...

Should be getting some of the parts in next week, then it's time to purchase a new dremel, have some bits made up by various suppliers and then actually start the real build.

Anyhow, will update as soon as I can.

you just had to, didn't you

:p

why is it that the white/black just doesn't get old???

Get that baby under water, you know you want to :D

But nice buddy.... The white and black always looks smexy :D

Lol... this was my 600T - sold that plus the loop - don't want to struggle with a custom loop anymore & the h100i looks fine, and works great, imho. :p

Yep, I saw your 600T very nice indeed

But, now you need to WC a prodigy :p

Time to break some fingers getting fittings in there :D

I received a few items yesterday and since I was working today (and it's usually dead quiet on Saturdays), I got busy with teh stuffs:

The CUDies:

My OCD was acting up due to the fact that the rear exhaust can take a 140mm fan, so I decided to do this:

Swapping done:

And then started with the cables:

The tools of choice (works like a bauce for this type of thing!!):

All done:

Are you planning on selling the extra extensions?
My Prodigy needs some of that cabling goodness :D

Nobbie, you really need to stop stealing my ideas :p

looking good... gonna be running my wiring without sleeving 1st

So I actually redid the cabling and fitted the 140mm fan a while back, and took a picture (battery was low, so no flash, but you get the idea):

Seems I'll be receiving my Recon controller and the last few goodies this week sometime, so then I'll update once I've fitted those.

Then need to start planning the front panel and interior panel.

n00bie™ out..

you better stay out :p

looking good there nobbie

I am more and more inclined to stick it out with the H100's and skip WC for now,
but then I just imagine it's look in this tiny case and how hawt it will look :(

Still need to find a place in CPT that will be able to sort me out with a laser cut front panel (either aluminium or perspex) and then to cut the internal panel + bend it and then the mesh - the mesh is turning out to be a pain in the arse though. :( Anyone want to go half-half as I don't need 2 sheets of mesh? :p

Will update as soon as I can.

w00t!!! Found a place that has stock of the replacement panel - saved me about +/- R200 on the mesh. Now the wait begins. :p

Also found a place for the perspex bending and laser cutting, so will take some measurements and get pricing. :)

also waiting on my pricing for laser and bending :(

it sucks though, cause thickest colored can get, is I think 3mm max :(

have to use 8mm clear for my one plan

curious: you use any IM systems?

Thanks Milkshakes!

Anyhow, update time:

So last night, spur of the moment modding temptation had me working on my PC until 23:30 last night...

So I ripped apart the PC and drilled out the 10 rivets holding the front panel in place and removed it:

20130409_194049_zps65a85558.jpg

Then decided for safety sake I want to rip apart the entire machine rather to make sure no metal pieces or drilled out rivets cause a short somewhere:

20130409_200624_zps92f00e6c.jpg

Flipped around the front panel and riveted it back together:

20130409_210451_zpsfcd794d6.jpg

Inverted:

20130409_210504_zps0eb43444.jpg

I then ran into a problem... since I only have 3.5" storage drives (a 2TB & 500GB) - I used the drive rack, but the recon controller is a bit longer than I expected, so I was stuck with no place to fit my drive, until I test fitted it in the PSU tray. :) It fits (a bit tight) on it's side and everything works like a boss...

I had to remove the rubber feet on the inside of the case in the PSU area to flip the drive, but thankfully had thin clear doublesided tape to refit them. I thankfully also have another 2.5" 500GB drive in my media PC which I'll replace with the 3.5" drive.

I unfortunately don't have pictures of where the drive is, but I'm going to rebuild the machine again once my perspex inner panel is done - then I'll show you guys what I did.

I also didn't like how tight the PSU was sitting inside the case, so tried some extra long mobo standoffs I had laying around and they work like a charm:

20130409_215418_zps408b68a8.jpg

I also changed out the lighting from white to blue (to tie in with all the other lighting of the case and my KB & Mouse) and it looks much better in real life:

So yeah, inverted front panel works nicely and once my perspex panel is made and fitted the interior will look much cleaner as well.

k, so my happy day today started off great...

until I came into this thread :(

I was keen to see how the H100 and Recon were gonna fit together, as I've got the Recon in my Prodigy too. I decided against the H100 (considering I bought the Recon first)...from what I had read online, loads of people had issues with notbeing able to install an optical drive with that cooler - didnt wanna take the chance myself! :p

I like how youve swapped the front panel around and have the Recon at the bottom...my only question is; Dont you find it almost impossible to read anything on the Recon screen at that angle? Hell, I battle enough reading the display the RIGHT way up!

retrab if you are like me, the case is standing basically right next to me, just a few short of shoulder height. so don't think it would be a problem in my case, but can understand what you mean.

@n0bbie when you get your pricing you must let us know how much round-about.

retrab yeah dude... it's very difficult seeing what's going on, on the controller - the viewing angle of the controller is a bit limited - but it's not like I need to monitor all the time, only now and then when I need to change something or quickly check temps, etc.

If you place on your desk then it wouldn't be as bad as on the floor :)

You know....there are days when i actually think a stock standard 600T is more than good enough for my needs. And then I come along and see the *** you post. You claim to be my friend, but in actual fact, you are a gloating piece of jelly making poo.

Sigh, once again, your work is praise worthy.

Yeah you see, I've built mine specifically for my lounge so its not ideal being on the floot :/ but as you said, you hardly have see it all the time, so I guess its not the end of the world. I'll create a thread for my build once the new feet/legs are finished being cut and polished (I'm replaced the standard feet, which are a little too 'wobbly' for my liking, with a Stainless Steel equivelant that I fabricated)
