The chipset is the same you can use any other 1155 motherboard. if you had win 10 installed it would just automatically reload the drivers and you are good to go with your old stuff back but that's just my experience as I've swapped quite a few motherboards between Z77 chipsets as well as between Z77 and H67/P67 and it just worked.

My knowledge is that the SATA chipset is the most likely cause for a system to not boot to the OS, once the mobo is changed. I'v tested this by moving a drive to another board, getting a BSOD , moving the drive back to the original board, removing the SATA driver , moving to the new board and having it boot. Done this test with 1st -4th gen boards, testing with the same and different system chipsets. IE P67 -> P67 and also, from Z77 -> Z97 etc etc

EDIT: you can also remove the drivers from the command prompt, in cases where you've got a non booting OS & a dead mobo.
