I've tested this unit with OPNsense, pfSense, Endian, and Sophos Home Firewall. Runs great with no issues whatsoever. I've run OPNsense the longest out of the lot with Zenarmor, NTOpng, Adguard Home and a few other minor plugins - the unit ran quite well with no issues at all on a 200/200 line. You can also install the Unifi plugin directly in OPNsense and manage all your Unifi Devices on the network application.
Note that the BIOS only supports UEFI. You can still install legacy firewall OS (like Sophos) via virtualization such as Proxmox.
I purchased the unit barebones, the RAM and SSD were bought and installed separately - note that I am selling as is and not splitting parts.
