Media PC Entertainment Unit Build

Looks like Linus did a similar mod over here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxAUNqeMMOc
Although he keeps his case inside his unit instead of turning his unit into a case but it did give me some good ideas. Like using bolts and nuts for the fans instead of standard fan screws like I did. Will make it easier to swap fans out in the future without having to move the entire unit.

Also saw that he printed out 120mm fan guidelines which is an awesome idea which I will be using on my PC Desk Mod hopefully this weekend depending on the timing :D

On/off switch mod done. A bit untidy but it does the job haha. Had to free hand the hole with a dremel and a drill bit because my dremel hole making tool didn't fit in that tiny space.

The cables on the inside are a mess but not really bothered because I will be doing the infinity mirror on the front which hides everything anyway.

The project is coming out very nice man , BTW when you do get the equipment for the infinity window you should get some extra led strips , silicone it or thread it through a clear tube , like a fish tank pump tube and attach the led at the back of the cabinet.
The silicone or fish tank tube will emit a nice glow , unlike just using plain led strips which leave a individual led glow

That is true. The plain led is quite harsh. Got that tubing on one part of my desk build, will also help to seperate the mirror and the glass.

just had to confirm something about the infinity mirror and now that I have,

I would have made it onto the door as it isn't really something that needs to be very deep

could that work or will it obstruct the door from opening (and the newly installed power button)?

I think that's the plan , he's going to make it on the window
He can also add a copy of his wedding photo in the centre of the infinity glass , like the photo is floating , cheesy but cool hahaha

It would more than likely impact the bottom shelf if I make it on the inside of the window. I am planning on cutting the window on the inside slightly wider so that I can sink the current piece of glass deeper into the door. Then tint that piece of glass, stick the row of LEDs in and then get a mirror made up to those dimensions. It should work out really well I will do some planning tomorrow with pics.

The Dremel will once again be used with that same hole cutting tool as it has a straight cut attachment that should do the trick.
