I used a Xbox 360 controller until about 3 years ago and since then have been through at least a controller a year.
I don't use them often but the latest one I had just failed on me. I've gone wired since the 360 controller and I just can't bring myself to buy a Xbox controller again that runs on AA batteries so I've bought a wired Logishit F310 and it was crap, A Nacon pro or something or other which just broke and before the Nacon I used a friend's Razer and I gave it back two days later because for a R2.5k controller it felt as cheap as the Logishit did.

Who's using what? And is it lasting you?
Also, where the hell can I get a controller with Hall effects? I'm soo tired of stick drift that I've had with every single controller.

Just get a new Xbox controller and be done with it.
+1 on this the XBox one controller is still a solid controller.
It feels "Tougher" than the series s controllers imo.
I bought an xbox one controller in 2021, it was used, and now my 6 year old uses it with no hassles. Has already been dropped a few times.

Hall effect sensors are made by Gullikit. I used these they are a steal. R300 with tracked shipping.
I modded my Switch with them.

Gullikit also makes controllers with Hall effect sensors.

I see, Those are specific to the Switch but yea, they make for others as well.
Will research these a bit more.
Thanks

Correct. The sensors are controller specific. But anecdotally, I am super impressed. Had severe stick drift, and with a 15min procedure it just vanished. And I never need worry again.

The Xbox controllers all have USB ports (Type C for the Series controller). So you can use them wired if you don't want batteries.

I bought a Xbox Controller. Bluetooth one but of course the little logishit receiver I have won't work with it. Typical logishit.
Cable it is for now until I get a little dongle sometime.

Are you using the controller on a PC?
Does it have bluetooth?
If not, something simple like this will work, Takealot

I use that with my series controller, works great.

Edit: Oops, Misunderstanding. Yes It's for PC. No my PC doesn't have bluetooth. The controller does, You can get ones without bluetooth apparently.
I thought the little receiver from my wife's "bluetooth" logishit mouse might work but after some research they are not normal run of the mill dongles and will only work with Logishit devices.
So I just need to get one. Will probably order the one you linked xD
