Little Test Rig

Hi guys , I recently acquired a Gigabit ud7 oc mobo and 3930x cpu and wanted to see if i should make the change to 2011 socket or stay with my SR2 (my beloved),but didn't want to do a hole build. nice to see a fellow sr2 the reason y i am thinking of it is my 1 cpu is no more and i am running my 5638 set now and they only run at 2,5 ghz compared to my 5675 @3,7 big drop , so weighing options.

ok to give you and idea of the size of my monster rig the test rig is the backplate of sr2. if you look at the pic you will see the sr2 mounted on it.so that means that hole test rig would fit in my sr2 rig and then some

Ive set it to oc for dummies cause i havent had time to play with these chips yet. so its a 2ghz @ 2,5 155 but i set it to 170 and it ran fine but next start up it didnt boot. ps u have 1 of the 2 sr2 i brought in lol

I was wondering who brought them in I'm running mine at 3.42 GHz (190*18). I've considered the SR-X and two 12-core Ivy Bridge-E CPUs, got word of pricing and tossed the idea. $2800 per processor

ye also drop kicked the idea after seeing the price. but i have 2 x 3ghz quads ready the day i get it. i will be going to hong kong soon so i hope to get it cheap over there . i think my multiplier is only to 15 have to check but like i said havent relay bothered mutch i would rather tinker and play online.

190*15 is still 2850 MHz I can't go back down to anything less than 24 threads, I shot myself in the foot by buying this.
