Hi all,

I recently bought an internal and external third party battery for my old Lenovo T470 which both batteries died in.

The batteries are not exactly the same as the original so would it be fine to replace them. I don't know too much about batteries so I would like to ask someone who knows more than me if it would be fine to use these batteries.

Basically want to know if Battery "1" the external would be fine to be replaced with the current one i bought or if i should return the replacement

The original batteries specs:

1 External:
2100mAh
11.4v
24Wh

2 Internal:
2100 mAh
11.4v
24 Wh

Replacement Batteries specs:

1 External:
6600 mAh
10.8v
66 Wh

2 Internal:
2095 mAh
11.46v
24 Wh

Thank you for any responses

Are these pre-built to accommodate the dimensions of the laptop, and all that is required is disassembly of the laptop in order to replace?

Send us pictures of what you've got.

Have you disassembled a laptop before?

Yes i have disassembled the laptop before, both batteries fit in the laptop the internal battery is the same size screws in the same places etc it fits perfect, and the other one is slightly larger as it is 6600mAh (bulge out the back a and rubber feet on battery, slightly elevates the laptop), but it fits into the slot for the external battery, same dimensions and fits into external slot, its just fatter.

I would just like to know if it is safe to use these batteries in it

not at home right now so i cannot send a picture of the batteries

The external one is the one I'm more concerned about as it has the lower voltage and wanted to find out if that is a problem or not, it does fit into the battery slot tho
