So I got a different job and we're relocating. Our nanny can't come along with us, and I'm REALLY hoping I can find her another job in Pretoria North side before she has to stop at us. Her experience is extensive. She's worked as a full-time nanny at people for a long time (I believe it was something like 13 years) before they left country. She then started working at a pre-primary school here in Pretoria where she was for a long time as well (I can find out). It's here where my wife met her.
When she wanted to leave the school, we gave her a job as a full-time nanny for our youngest one, which she's been doing now for almost a year. We have ZERO complaints. She's coming up on 60 years old, she's reliable, friendly, loving and caring. I have her UIF registered and all that but I'm sincerely hoping there's someone who can take her into their employ. She speaks Afrikaans well enough as well, and understands kids, how to care for them and what they need. Our kids both love her to death, and we're extremely saddened that we have to let her go.
She's amazing with kids, and she does a good job cleaning, but her primary focus is kids. She doesn't want to go back to a school (it's too busy) but I'm guessing if there's no other options, it'll do. She'll be available from the 1st of April 2023. We're not paying her a huge salary but we do give her good working conditions, good hours, lots of leave, and bonuses and extras along with it all. It'll be discussed with whoever is interested.
