Found this while I was pondering if I should buy a 3570k and sell my 2600k. Obvious answer is no, I know. Was just CUD thinking out load :confused:

Its a lot to process, but it summarizes pretty much everything there is to know in a performance / thermal comparison between the two CPU's clock for clock (HT OFF).

no need for ivy unless you bench ln2

@ 1.4V IB runs 24,75C hotter then SB with HT off. (65.56%), with the ivy you also need better cooling.
