Hi

I have installed beams across the front of my yard, routed this to a Regal timer module connected to a siren.

I have issues that when we switch on lights with LED globes and even starting of inductive loads, the trigger on the timer module is triggered by a surge. We have installed an inline choke (coil) to the trigger input, it has helped a tad but the light switching still triggers as does operation of the gate motor.

Other than running screened cable to the timer module via buried conduit, is there any other ideas I might try?

We have also tried placing an electrolytic Capacitor 1000uF across various points of 12VDC supply points but it does not help.

I am thinking I may have to install something on the DB board to absorb these spikes.

The timer module does not trigger if we disconnect the trigger input and operate lights and the gate.

The beams provide me with an early warning when I am working in the backyard, I would like to leave this on at night but at present the configuration will drive us and the neighbors nuts.

The beams are IR Securiprod 30m dual beams.

Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks
