Is my AIO dying?

You should rarely hit over 80c, even in summer with the Fuma2.. and that is with the fans at full speed of 1200rpm.

Yeah, basically the equivalent of a 240/280 AIO
Maybe slightly warmer by a few percent than a 280.

Be sure to get the Rev.B

Sup man

I'm Running the 5800X3D as well under a Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix RGB Liquid CPU Cooler

Idle depends on Ambient between 40'c and 50'c
In games between 65'c and 75'c
Maxed out 82'c

Full airflow case with 6 x Corsair Magnetic Levitation Series ML140 Fans maxed out at 2000rpm

Cooler Top mounted as exhaust

Currently idling at 58'c with ambient 33'c
Thanks for the reference point. So that confirms that this is abnormal for a 240mm aio and this cpu. I have a full mesh case. 3 coolermaster mf120 halos in the front, 2 under my GPU, 1 exhaust and before i took the AIO out the 2fans were exhausting out the top.

Glad my reference was helpful 😌

Highly unlikely that a tower cooler performs like a good 240, there are some but those are in the NHD15/AK620 class and the Fuma isn't.

My Scythe Fuma 2 Rev B is inbound 😁
Shake your pump head vigorously

Maybe there is air trapped in the pump head
You won't hear/feel the fluid flowing through the tubes if the pump is running dry
*Just worth a try before saying the AIO is faulty

Unfortunately i have already tried that, i wasnt too rough with it though because i dont want to break anything. I even shook the radiator itself thinking the blockage was there however it only got worse after that. I hit 100C on desktop at 200mhz and then shut it off.

Try a re-paste first. These hot CPUs are really efficient thermal pumps.

This is actually true

Had an NZXT X72 (really good AIO) and Thermaltake TT Premium 360 (S tier AIO) and with cheap paste I got like 10+ (okay not 10+ - I mean around 10 degrees more) degrees more than decent paste

I used thermal Grizzly Kryonaught which if I remember correctly is a pretty good paste?

That's a problem. Just use hydronaught better paste for high temps Kyronaught is for cold ie "kryo"
You are 100% correct. It is more a waste of money having to repaste more regularly but still a good paste

To everyone using coolers, don't just assume the more expensive Thermal Grizzly product would be objectively better

So my Scythe Fuma 2 got here and I am very impressed with it. Maxing out at 72c in Cinebench R23 multicore and 54c in single core test. Haven't yet gamed but its very promising. Idle is 40c so that has dropped as well. I'm sure its quieter than my AIO was too.

Set some custom fan curves, bro.
Will change your life.

Also, your cpu won't get hotter in games than what cinebench will push it to.
