Did you do a factory reset?

1st issue- I know on my HTC One M7, with 800Mb of free space left, certain apps would not update, even if they were a lot smaller than 800Mb. Maybe it has something to do with free space?

4th issue - could be the camera app is set to store to memory card by default.

If you haven't already, I'd advise you to do a factory reset, might sort out all your issues.

Search for Root Checker on the Google App store to confirm if your phone is rooted.

What OS version is it running?

What OS version is it running?

it says " congratulations, This phone has Root root access!" its Running Andriod version 5.0.1 HTC sense version 6.0
Software nuber 4.19.161.2
htc Sdk api Level : unknown

it also has a program call superuser which is why i think its rooted

I guess you could find the stock ROM for your phone and install it.

I have the Revolution HD ROM on my M7, and have had no issues with it. I think it's the closest to the stock HTC software.

I see they have a version for your phone as well:
[ROM] Android Revolution HD 43.0 • ART • Hig… | HTC One (M8) | XDA Forums

Just read through the thread before doing it. It's not hard at all though.

Not sure on your location, but if you close to Roodepoort, Gauteng, I could help you with installing a new ROM as well. Send me a PM if you want.
