Hi peeps of Carbonite.

I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. When I wanted to listen to music this morning, only the left speaker worked. No matter what I try software-wise, the right-hand speaker is still not working. It's dead even before connecting it to a device. A hard reset did nothing.

I'm not sure if there's still a warranty, so if anyone can do some checks on the serial number please let me know. I don't know where it was purchased or how old it is. It was working flawlessly, and now it's not since this morning.

Alternatively, does anyone know of a reputable place that can inspect the headphones to try and determine the cause/fix the issue? Preferably in CPT, but shipping can work too.

These Sony's are trash and there is no real support for them here. My brother has had endless issues with his 1000XM4s

Best check for warranty first.

Eish...

Yeah, I'm hoping this headset's warranty is still in effect.

The charge port and tactile touch are still working on the faulty side. So it's not a complete disconnect to that side. It's merely the speaker not outputting anything.

I forgot about this thread.

The next day I just tapped the tactile surface on the right side to start playing a song, and the issue was resolved. Closing.
