Need advise for a teacher to purchase a colour printer to use now and again.

Preferably with scanner,

I only believe in laser printer, as the laser printers from back in the day were just terrible and costly.

Any advice ?

Any Epson ink tank printer. Have mine for around 8 years, way past its duty cycle and still chugging along.

Is the yield anything close to or even half of what they claim ?
Well I use bulk ink so I never run out of ink and I print a hell of a lot of stuff. I suppose it also depends on the quality setting you use, mine is set on standard most of the time.

Check the report from my R799 Epson inktank printer, duty cycle on the print head is supposed to be like x3000 pages.

Never bothered to calculate my yield, but after almost 5 years (in Feb) on a cheapie Epsion L311 and about 15 reams of paper I'm still using the ink it was supplied with! CMY are at about 25% left & K is (second bottle) at about 75% left.

Had to do a reset of some or other counter as it stated something or the other needed replacing about 18 months ago. Downloaded the software to reset the counter & it just keeps on going. Paid R3,5k for it in 2019, when the ink runs out I'll toss it & buy a new one.
