Hi everyone, I need some help please.
TL;DR = Please help me fix my 3080 drivers
I upgraded my AMD R9 fury GPU to a RTX 3080 and now I'm having some trouble to make it work.
What I did (forgive me it's my first time upgrading any PC components):
Powered down, unplugged R9 and inserted the 3080.
Started PC and installed Nvidia drivers. Everything was zoomed in, pc was very jittery etc.
So I Apps->Uninstalled all Nvidia drivers (528.02) and ran it as is, think it was 517.
Then it kinda worked, but I had black screens for about 5 seconds every time I opened a new Chrome tab. PC also restarted a few times.
Then I installed 527 and it worked a bit better.
Also updated windows 10 somewhere here.
Then I plugged in my second screen and it was much better! For a while, then the original screen blacked out and was not picked up.
Somewhere along the lines I noticed that my GPU is not picked up in the Task Manager.
I then read that the AMD drivers needs to be removed, so I installed UDD and removed AMD and Nvidia drivers.
Boot up once more, reinstalled 528 and everything was working perfectly.
Switched the PC off, came back 2 hours later and it was worse than ever, without changing anything.
So I took it to Matrix where they've always helped me before, they plugged it in and it worked with no issues? Ran lots of stress tests and everything was 100%. Took it home all excited and again, very zoomed in, task manager not picking up GPU etc.
So long story short, I need someone to either be able to assist in person or over a video call or something to help me sort this GPU. I'm based in Protea Heights in Brackenfell if anyone nearby will be willing to help?
