Help needed with Xiaomi 11T pro rom

Hi All,

Really need some assistance.
I bought my wife a xiaomi 11t pro of a guy from Carb earlier this year. The phone was originally purchased in India and then rom was changed to the EU version, but now the tap to pay/Google pay has stopped working and would like to go back to original rom as this may solve the problem.

I am really clueless with these things. I would really appreciate any help, even prepared to pay someone to help me do it.

c.mi.com - official roms you will need a Xiaomi account. Not recommended if you haven't flashed a rom before you can brick the phone.
Alternatively try Xiaomi.eu, officially supported roms Play Store certified but not sure if Google pay is supported. Easier to install if you follow the instructions but still can brick the phone if you don't know what you doing

Try and check if your bootloader is locked or unlocked. An unlocked bootloader might be the cause for this.

My bootloader is unlocked from what I understand as when I restart the phone, the lock shows as unlocked, but don't think I should be locking it due to the different rom loaded(derived from what I read). Not sure if you would have any advice for me?

Been a while since I've tampered with ROMs and all that, just know that an unlocked bootloader can cause issues with Google Pay and other banking apps. There are ways around it - probably - by either re-locking the bootloader or rooting and masking it.

I'm in Durban, I don't know anyone in PTA or JHB.
Do not relock your bootloader - you will be locked out if you're not the one requested the unlock.
I will PM you later with instructions to load xiaomi.eu.

So at least I now know why my T2P stopped working on my 11T Pro...

Using MIUI V14.0.2.0 (intl) from XDA with unlock bootloader.
