Morning everyone. Please help me to get my Tablet working again.
Last night it was still working 100% fine like always. It had 32% battery power left when I shut it down. So this morning I plugged in the charger. When I plug in the charger it automatically boots. But not this morning. I left the charger in for 30 minutes and tried to switch it on manually. It is stone dead:( What could have gone wrong? Are there things I can check myself before I take it in to the pro's?
It is a HP Elitepad 900 stull running on windows 8.

removable battery? if so remove and leave out for 10 minutes, put back and see

warranties?

Hold down the power button for 10 seconds usually that forces restart or something along those lines

Thanks.
I will try both suggestions.
It was bought secondhand, I doubt there is any warantee left.

- holding volume button in while powering on to go into HP system menu. Found that with a quick search, good luck recovering

And check the power plug going into the unit - these power plugs have many contacts and are easy to break unfortunately.

100% possible.
But the tablet does not start even without the charger connected, like it always could. The screen does not even flicker. It is stone dead.

It would then only mean that the battery is discharged (empty), in addition to the plug problem.

If I can't get it fixed...

Anybody know of any good contract deals where I can get one with a data bundle?
I see Macro has one on a 1GB contract for R225 PM. But this round I would prefer a Android Ipad. Vodacom preffered, but any other contract will be looked at.

Ok, the screen did show something now. a Battery, with a lightning bolt and a plug. This is with the charger plugged in. I have never seen this before. It used to just start up.
This might help in narrowing down the issue? I hope...

Its charging now, only ever see that on my 6 year olds tablet  He runs it down completely and forgets to charge it. You probably had a app running that ran the battery down.
