Then I think any piece of rubber that you put between it and screws/mounting should "dampen" vibration. But I am no expert, this is just what I thought.

This is what I did, just put an o-ring between the case and drive cage at each screw hole, really silenced my case and hard drives.

Where do I find this o-ring?

Go to builders they have a selection of o-rings or any hardeware winkel.
What size o ring should I look into?
Just for the screw holes or something big enough for the HDD to sit in?

Also bottom of the HDD or use rubber on the side of the mount?

Or better idea. get an SSD and remove the 6tb's storage and add to a NAS in another room.

Have SSD. PC becomes dead silent when I remove the HDD's.
When I have the money, the next thing on my to do list is to get NAS sorted out.

But I have a good idea what to do now. I just tried putting rubber bands around the HDD and it's dampening by a whole lot.
Next thing to do is pop by local hardware and see what they got.

Closing~
