GeForce RTX 40 SUPER announced :)

Well anything more than 16GB would be great...
Also it was a bit of a sarcastic remark, just seems that 16GB should be standard for mid range cards by now?
Agreed but it is Nvidia after all and all the leaks pointed to just 16gb so not really surprised.
I'm actually surprised the 4080 super is cheaper than the 4080.

Just goes to show how ludicrous the original pricing on the 4080 and 4070 Ti was.

We’ve essentially got a slightly slower 4080 for $799 now with the 4070 Ti Super.

And a slightly slower 4070 Ti for $599 with the 4070 Super

I hope when these come to SA that the prices of 4070's will come down a little bit...

7900 xtx still looks good at the lower price hopefully. Wait till end of jan

PC gaming is becoming too expensive for new people to enter, and they will instead buy consoles. NVIDIA is destroying their own market.
Not really.
PC gaming is no longer their core market.
Perhaps they should split the company into data cards and gaming/professional cards

I'm busy on a course on tech innovation in the legal industry and the larger market is huge. Tell an exec they can cut people from a company and replace with AI and eyes light up. There are benefits though in some areas where humans tend not to excel but demand is going up for access to cheaper AI so makes sense to push in this area.

Also I know some games/mods have dabbled with AI driven NPCs. Imagine an enemy that runs rings around you in different ways each time you play.

I'm also busy messing around with chatbots and it's interesting to see the integration of AI into the bots ability to interpret queries to align with topics.

I wonder how much the GPU market has contributed to depression in recent years. These new cards a dull as nails but priced like they're made of gold

We'll have to wait and see, but historically it has taken 6+ months if ever for pricing to come down.

Hell, I can still get brand new 256MB graphics cards for over R 3k, or 4th Gen Core i7s for over R 6k.

NVIDIA is destroying their own market.
Not at all. Their market is

1. AI
2. Trolling

Jensen Huang couldn't even keep a straight face with the crap he spoke at last year's Computex.

Anyway, I think the new SKU logos are stupid. I make this a few weeks ago after seeing the official thing:

Most SKUs were loaded on the site last week, so just wait for 17/24/31 January for to appear :)

Don't forget the naming scheme bump, the current 4070 ti should have been a 4060 ti but was originally called a 4080.

They should have called it the 4070 STi

Disclaimer, I think the 4070TiSuper would be the best of the lot.

To actually call a card the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is really taking the piss.
Nvidia shareholders are laughing all the way to the bank while the sheep keep giving them their money.
AMD are just as bad with their shitty Radeon 7000 series products.

Get your used cards on Carb and be happy.

Radeon 7000 is great. 40-series is great too, if you ignore the pricing.

You just want to sell your kak 1060s on Carb :p

Super Ti actually sounds acceptable in my view, basically implies it's the Ti version of the Super refresh.

I never heard anyone call it n taaaaai card. That nvidia guy on ces. Didnt say TI (tee aai), he called it taaaaiii

He meant naai, its his accent.

You get naaied when you buy the Super naai cards.

Whatever NVIDIA does, people will still complain. You get more for the same money with the Super range so that's good.

The 3070 8gb came out at R15.5k, my buddy bought a 4070 12Gb last month for R12k.
This is a post-pandemic world where a Polo costs R348k, deal with it instead of complaining "THe SHeeP KEeP gIVinG NVidIa monEY"
